tomcctv replied to cookm's topic in Digital Video Recorders
IT JUST WONT WORK WOW. FIRST 270ft on one single pair of 24 cat5 24v 5amp .........this is out of code ....also none regulation. And unsafe. Run a power extension to test and if your cameras have the same problem But 24v 5amp over 1 pair is not the right way -

Best Free Software?
tomcctv replied to bfhoon1's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi. There is no point starting another post while you have another with the same problem. You need to understand peer to peer. Which is what your camera has You need to post a picture of your camera network setup. You say you now have your local IP now set ..... But still with the cameras own software ...... This still allows the peer to peer What happends if you enter your local camera IP into explorer ? And not using the software that you loaded onto PC ? -

Extremely disappointed with Q See
tomcctv replied to thehandyman's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi. The app password has nothing to do with q-see. It is part of the initial setup. You need to go into network on recorder then to accounts and add your passwords for each account -

tomcctv replied to bfhoon1's topic in Computers/Networking
Hi. To do anything first you need to have control of the cameras IP protocol Find its local IP see if it gives you the option to change it ....you also need to change its 2nd dns service ... Fill as 0.0.0.0 Then you need to remove its p2p software from your PC or it will reset your camera and also full reset your router -

tomcctv replied to bfhoon1's topic in Computers/Networking
How do you think your camera was setup ? Did you add it to your router or did you load the p2p disc ? Did you do all the port forwarding on your router or did you let the software auto set Do a scan on your network and you will see the ports open and IP addresses that connect. But if your happy with someone watching your camera in China then it's $60 well spent -

tomcctv replied to bfhoon1's topic in Computers/Networking
Hi. That is a cheap p2p camera ...... It's connected to a 3rd party server in China TUTK is not a company I would give control of my network too. If I was you I would spend time on getting your security back .... A China 3rd party p2p with access to your PC is something you need to change Remove all the cameras programs Rest your home router Block it with your firewall And start again with a brand name camera -

Sounds like you are connecting to a camera cloud .... So you are using data. Going local will not use your data. You need to list your camera type -
Broadcasting cctv images for customers at street level.
tomcctv replied to six10ken's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I would keep it simple ...... Just as you already have but change your multiplexer for a network tv box and you can call upto 8 IP cameras in any configuration -
