GUARD24PRO application for IOS
tomcctv replied to DOMICOPE's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
We're on earth have I hijacked this post I left a post about an app that is used by 1000s It's a forum ... More than one can join in. But anyway this is your 16th edited post involving me .... Why I have no clue But anyway it seems like you are upset I have over 30 years in the industry ... I can't help that but it's clear and you have made it also clear since you add it to all your posts .. Then edit after a few hours .... Childish But my experience seems to worry you .... But experience is good It's like anything in the security industry .... I like the fact my company can catch shop lifters / car theft/ ID theft/ speed traps and a lot more. Then you have web theft and web site education which is a problem worldwide ..... Let me show you how that works I'll start another post so Google tag picks it up. -
Yes IP is the best option .... And for long term Cvi and tvi is also not home run anymore .... Daisy chain with BNC t piece But the problem with tvi doing that is data ..... Cvi and the new daisy chain Poe IP cameras are now going h265 but yes you are right for long term like years ago IP will last more years than tvi and cvi

Hi. Both of your reports are from 2014 and not only has cvi / tvi and SDI changed from then technology has changed. One thing that is wrong in the report is tvi and SDI are Infact made by the same American company. Yes cvi is only produced by dahua and flir ... Tvi is licences to many .... Hik / avtech/ everfocus/ Alain and lots of no name China companies and its that problem that has led to the security problems it has

Best surveillance system for couple of grocery stores
tomcctv replied to echosan's topic in General Digital Discussion
A few people on here use and have used face recognition..... But you have not give a budget ..... It's not cheap and you will need to get a company in to do it. But I think you are talking face detection .... Also known as face finder.... Which to be honest does not work that well But your request is to catch shop lifters and YOU put there face into the system .......what about shop lifters you don't have in the system ??? You want to spend a lot of money on something you already know -
Tvi is good and getting better but no one offers it in h265. Hikvision did do h264 plus but it did not work The other problem with hikvision is it's no longer a commercial system ... Tvi or there NVRs it's only good for domestic. Go on many CCTV forums and it only takes time and date and you have a password ..... That is a bad security problem. But between tvi and cvi there is no differance except as tvi grows like the new tvi 3 ...... You can't add tvi 3 cameras to a old tvi dvr Cvi you can just change the camera or add as there images get bigger without having to change the recorder. But the good part about tvi and cvi now is the distance and the ability to use a BNC T piece on each camera to daisy chain

Best surveillance system for couple of grocery stores
tomcctv replied to echosan's topic in General Digital Discussion
Do you mean there is another solution other than face recognition? If so, can you tell me We need to capture a theif photo and when he goes to other store the system recognize him and send a notification to the guy in the store that this guy is a theif How many entry doors do each store have ... Do the door ways allow multiple people at the same time Then for what you are asking you need to build a data base of people you have caught .... What about the people you don't catch ... There not on your data base -
Best surveillance system for couple of grocery stores
tomcctv replied to echosan's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi. Face detection is pointless and not even worth thinking about and is nothing like face recognition. You need to talk with your boss as he seems to be spending his budget on something that is pointless for his needs. It costs your boss nothing to take a problem customers picture and email it to each store. Use the money saved by not going face recognition/ detection and have a good CCTV system in each store. -
Domestic Camera Advice and Setup Question
tomcctv replied to boney695's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi. No new tvi is not back comparable IP and also cvi systems are backward compatible with old and new cameras -
Hi. Most systems now have good distance IP can be done if you buy IP cameras with built in Poe extenders this allows you to daisy chain with just 1 cat5 cable for 4 cameras upto 400m Cvi and tvi you can run 8 cameras over 1 coax upto 1000m also daisy chain with point to point ( you still need to add power to each camera with cvi or tvi)

Looking for Home Video System on Long Island.
tomcctv replied to gabelman's topic in Security Cameras
Another person to make it personal .... And someone else that can't read Tvi .... Yes it's 2 and half years old but 123 don't sell tvi3 so like I said there's are old Now I don't know why you can't read ....... But I did say look at the flir IP system And yes I know tvi and IP are not the same ...... Did I say anywhere it was ??? So do 80% of other members but if you want to learning from sunnykim .... Feel free ...... That will be two people talking crap and that takes me to your next post. That is not the case ....... It was a few years ago with analog systems .... But a wrong statement for IP cvi tvi Old analog had fix cameras fixed IR no zoom ..... But with IP cvi tvi cameras have selectable settings ..... Saying that two of the same cameras can function different ....... You have smart IP .... Option to zoom .. Option to schedule different settings ....... So box systems are not as bad as you keep making out. And as far as there website ...... If it lies on its first page then it's a problem ...... The best CCTV sites will give you consumer prices and option to log in for trade prices ....... But to give massive over prices from the start -

You will get 20% off on old tvi systems Take a look at there flir 8 way IP system it's a saving of $400 .... Same system same delivery time but direct from lie better warranty better support . I replied to this post just for the reason of a new member considering buying but can save $400 and with needing two that's $800 saving. If 123 want to have a website that looks like a jigsaw puzzle and make customers guess on the price that is bad marketing -

123 looks expensive ...... They have an 8 way IP system that is $400 more than what you can buy it for and that's retail. That's a $800 saving -
Sinocam: DDNS and Admin password issues
tomcctv replied to BillAk's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
The only thing I understood from your message was "Hi". hahaha I will look into it though. Quick question. Do you know if it's a common thing for Chinese brands to work this way with e-video? Or do all IP cameras do that? Even expensive hi end like Samsung, Sony etc? Yes it is a new thing ......p2p setup .... Makes it easy for people to setup there own system .... But it is turning out to be a bad thing it's more about information collecting E-video and ezviz are always in the security news at the moment with people having problems -
Hi. Before you buy anything else does your cable look like any of these.

Hi. It's ddns and also a China cloud service. It's a lot of work but worth it. Reset your cameras IP and you give them port numbers ......I think they ask you to use port 80 you need to give your cameras 5550 for cam 1 5551 for cam 2 and so on You need to do this off your network and don't reconnect your cameras till you have reset your router. You need to do a full router reset change passwords .... And if you have the option on your router also change the MAC address Sometimes it's better to go and buy I newer router and learn and understand it ..... That way you can spot changes made If you are not a network person then talk to your ISP and ask them to reset and change your Mac for you -
Why do you say that? Hi. You only use 1 pair with baluns
-
This way is totally wrong and should not be used

Hi. This is the one to use.

Hi. Are you in China ??? Ddns does not just apply to your dvr its your network ... Lots of Chinese ddns services are popping up and are unsafe to use you need to manually reset all your system and not use there settings or services Talk to your ISP have them block the China service and also ask how much a static IP will cost you -
Hi. That price can't be right ?? 10 year old 1280x720. £900 ($1.400)
