point being what company in there right mind is going to sell a 3mp camera down graded to a 2mp at 2mp price. 2mp to 3mp needs more than just software........ it needs hardware as well resized image. from original (which is BAD image if you think that's 3mp)

Have you posted any video at 2048x1536? Would love to see how much better it looks than the standard 1080p The problem is the camera image is still only 1080 but RESIZED via software........ It does not make it a 3mp camera.

Hi yes it is a true day night camera with IR correction lens on so should be good at night. either with IR or low light outdoor lighting.

and cant use any other IP camera with either which limits the system. so not upgradable either.

hi. 300m is not a problem for this type of unit you can get them video/power/audio and data also you can get them for 4 video over 1 coax .....good for quick adding cameras to an upgrade.

we use GJD a lot along with optex even the wireless from GJD are good ..... 2 years on one battery. if your camera has a alarm input then both will work. also some dvr/nvr will take sensor inputs and direct existing PTZ to that alarm point

Chop trees just for auto PTZ. PTZ tracking is nothing like PIR sensors. Bouci. What software are you using to view your existing cameras. Axis have add on auto PTZ tracking software. So do geovision and avermedia. But yes sensors are best ......what size area will you be covering
