Cannot access DVR with PC after equipment change
tomcctv replied to thestore's topic in Computers/Networking
you may think info given is not helpful but sit back and think ............ even tho you have used XP from 2006 to now you have service packs ......service pack 3 CAN stop viewing ............ did you run as administrator BEFORE you loaded software. are all DVR settings right..... ip ......subnet (which most people have wrong) gatway. screen shots of both DVR setup screen and router settings would be nice. we cant guess your settings. the reason why people say upgrade is infact to help you ........and i will explain why ......so sit back read and have a think. 1. software to remote view (Proprietary software) is the old way 2. software to view you downloaded footage AGAIN needs Proprietary software (you have to give police a copy of the software to view. (not many will now load software onto there PCs) 3. your DVR is cif old res. if you going to run and use CCTV at least use the basics. like listed in post $200 will get you working with a system you can use......... its $200 thats 54 cents a day for a year if your store cant withstand that sell up -

Cannot access DVR with PC after equipment change
tomcctv replied to thestore's topic in Computers/Networking
Hi a unit from 2006 may need Proprietary software .....as you can connect LAN or WAN. It sounds like your problem. You should have a viewing disk. To load on your pc. But another problem may be your viewer may not be supported by your current operating system. Your right $ 2000 is a lot but a unit 2006 will be CIF I would look at upgrading $200 for D1 and viewing over pc or smartphone is cheap -
Hi. The cheap type cables you get with kits r the DIY plug and play cables will give some problems but not much. You are using a dahua DVR. (Rebranded). You could for a test either replace cables for rg59 or with the cables you have buy 2 baluns and see if image is better.... Also with the dahua you need a wide screen monitor

Hi. aver hybrid will do what you need -
Hi. Yes with your dvr it is easy and not much in the way of cost. Your remote software that you are using for remote (under settings) you will see 3 slide switches. .......they call them alarms.... But these are controls to switch the relays on and off on your dvr........all you need is a relay at dvr end to have control over switching lights on and off

Sorry have to reply with use IDMSS. It's does just what you are trying to do and is a very simple setup.

Hi. Also from the same company as your VSI they do a ID scanner overlay. Works well using both

tomcctv replied to ab2reza1360's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I'm living in IRAN..... Hmm, it is going to be interesting to follow this post I think it's a post that's going to go no where. We only need to ask his budget... The 51mp is 50k each. And only works with its own software. -

The panomer is used here in the uk. It's being used in a football ground. But the cost of the camera and your looking at over 30 of them. You still have not said which country you are in ? -
How to connect CCTV (DVR) camera to PC ?
tomcctv replied to edzhinieks's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi. Uk market is getting flooded with that system. Don't spend anymore money on it. .........you can only make footage if you connect to a old VCR or Disk recorder. No Internet connection for you to get images onto a pc there are ways but your looking at a cost which is more than you paid for your system -
I would pack in the sales side if you can't even do the basics

Dahua cameras now at Costco
tomcctv replied to buellwinkle's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Costco have a good way of advertising. Just looked at your link. 16 channel $2999. Look at spec you need to spend more money just to get it up and running. DVR only has 4 Poe ports. So you will also have a cost for 12 power supply's also a cost for switch. And monitor your now looking at 4k and then your restricted buy quality. Shop around for dahua 2mp and if you have an old pc. Then your going to save yourself over 2k and you will have better unrestricted quality and better fps. -
H ask your CNN supplier which external dome UTP cameras they have in stock. Or ask them to order some
-
Hi. I would use standard black..... Reds are not on the recommended HD list

Anyone used the EH1008H-4 Nano DVR?
tomcctv replied to Brent1971's topic in General Digital Discussion
Why not just use the aver app....... Switch alarms on and off or relays for lighting and play back recorded footage. Which you can't do with 3rd party apps -

tomcctv replied to ab2reza1360's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Buellwinkle . No am not a dealer. If you read my post again I was talking about software avigilon are the world leaders in homeland security. Sea Ports or airports are not only about cameras used Doing camera reviews is ok. But it's software that needs to be right for OPs install Sea port is listed as border protection. So the likes of dahua with PSS is like fitting a toy. -
Hi. Sounds like your unit was made before 2010. In which case PSS will not work. There is an update for your unit be you will need to get it from Mace
-
Can you give make and model of your dvr. You will need pin out for the db26 connection
-
Go . Ip for that size of install. That will save you 60k alone that you don't need on DVRs. 40inch monitor for 800 cameras is another problem. Your going to have to give more info on your install I.E type on wiring method you have or going to install .... Distance to each camera ....network if any. And your full budget
