Lines rolling on the image & top flickers
tomcctv replied to bentech's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
why ??? passive at that distance is not a problem. but 250 of rg6 can also be a problem. can you not go direct with cat5 -

for the distance you talk about a good cat5 is your cheapest option. also if you have not used fiber before.

IR led's dead, most likely from mid-day & setting sun ... :(
tomcctv replied to Toaster's topic in Security Cameras
this is another problem with built in IR..... like any lighting it has a life span. cameras with IR come most with 1 year warranty...... cameras without IR can have 2-3 even 5 years. -
hi yes thats right. if you go into settings go to cameras then click network cameras you will see a dropdown list of ip MP you can use. if you havent run a patch in the last few months then you will need to. over 300 ip are now available for aver
-
Hi FPS on your card is only for analog cameras. using MP is set via camera.
-
hi. still use your aver but go MP as well as your existing cameras.

Captured vandalism, no clear face shot. Now what!?
tomcctv replied to Toaster's topic in Security Cameras
AGREED! also another thing to remember cctv is for information collection. dont always think you need a face shot. if you know what to look for in the footage every bit of info can help. your guy throws 5 empty packets of cigarettes into the frame. he has no gloves on ..... 1 empty packet means nothing but 5 with his fingerprints on means he put them there. but that also depends on how helpful your police are. but you can also tweek your footage and put pictures up in your shop. or even a QR code of the footage so your customers can see. -
so 30 years of analog has never worked...... you can get face rec from analog even more reason to go hybrid...... 2k for pc....pay for licence........ hybrid all done.
-
Dahua hybrid either analog or 960h should give it away and not all effio cameras are 960h. Connecting his qsee will NOT up the resolution. He is stuck on the qsee camera output
-
no. you must use 960h cameras............ which means the op would have to spend money he does not need to.
-
forget the dahua hybrid and no you cant above D1 recording from your cameras. if you want to keep your budget low look at the aver nano 16. its a 16 way DVR that will also do 4MP cameras 3 or 5 mp for your car lot and 2mp for the other 3 mp. and you can add another 4 analog cameras
-
Hi. aver you need to enter ip in both local and external like this. http://lanip:5550

hi. since you already have a system. you are best going hybrid ..... use your existing cameras and add MP were needed. -
Hi. Since you already have a system in place I would look at going hybrid.

how many camera cables will fit in a 2'' conduit?
tomcctv replied to adamant's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
with 2 inch you have room to pull more .... i would also look at a few cat5 cables down the same conduit. makes it easier to add more cameras later or upgrade to IP or even audio light control / alarm control -
Hi. which DVR are you loging onto ??
-
hi take a look at ic-realtime demo site and download PSS for mac and i will have a IP address tomorrow for you (open for 24hrs) for you to have a play with your mac and smartphone. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44c7sHcF26E
-
Hi. take a look at the IC-Realtime range of DVRs or MACE both do pc and mac
-
the problem with that is if the installer uses cheap budget..............the after sales service is because of equipment used by installer
-
Hi. Yes it is possible on some dvrs. But if you are just talking about 1 camera then there is an easier way. Scotch do a good little IP camera that does audio both ways. And with a little add on also gives the elderly a panic button. They were on wrist this option also alerts you via internet or mobile with video. If something like that is of interest to you.
