Is there a applcation for the Hikvision DS-7204HI S?
tomcctv replied to capnbooboo's topic in Digital Video Recorders
hi way to old for mac use. its a 6 year old unit ..... the updated is the dahua -
that is only because your using segment ....... on all avers for 7 years you can only pick segment from a hour clip .......... so you cant go into 2 or 3 hours. go into backup and you can .......... or in backup you click hour block then click next hour block or hour block from another week. and remember on the hour block you can also righ mouse click and set the time of the footage needed. and again you can pick format before burning native. avi or dvr direct all of which also place auto player.

Camera Comparrison - Vivotek vs AVS Uriel cameras
tomcctv replied to mateck8888's topic in Security Cameras
hi. i think images have been mixed up this is not 3mp cant read the clock on right had side (i have seen 1.3mp do better) i can read the clock on right hand side. snap shots are opposite to your first post vivotek AVS -
segment is only for a max of 1 hour or parts of that hour ............ backup is the standard way to backup data and you pick from the drop down box on what format. backup can be from 1 min to full month and is the standard for evidence as is watermarked and electronic signature

why not just use backup instead of segment time ???

Best stand-alone D1 DVRs for remote usage: Q-See? EYEsurv?
tomcctv replied to dbooksta's topic in General Digital Discussion
specs / books / manuals dont mean much. and its not the way to buy a dvr. look at what you need it to do. q-see is not full D1 (Elite) if your looking to use apps q-see use generic apps (not there own) so your limited updates are slow getting to q-see website (q-see dont make the dvr) its know as a TVT. who make for q-see/swann/cmn/killer. dahua. updates are direct from there website so are the manuals. dedicated apps (with a brand new one out (have control or dvr) one thing about buying rebranded units is finding out who the makers is. you then have a few options for updates and firmare/software. an other to look at is the aver hybrids. again dedicated apps / direct links to downloads/ free ddns service. and in the same price range. -
