  1. YOU DONT INSTALL. Inst4TWN.exe it is a programe on your pc every windows has it and its not a problem. on your pc it is not working as it should. it is damaged not working as it should its been altered by another software or malware. and its stopping active x from loading as it should. i dont know were to go with your post as i dont think you understand even with the links i have given you. the links have nothing to do with your dvr it was to show you the problem you have with your pc. you keep saying you are looking for the Inst4TWN.exe file to load onto your dvr. its a standalone you cant load anything ..... nothing. did you send your dvr ip to rory ???
  2. ok i think you are posting to wind people up. or you have just stared out installing cctv. do not ground the cat5 and dont ground your dvr. and grounding your camera to dvr this is done via your bnc. cat5 the cable runs you have you need baluns there is nothing you can do (or we would not need baluns) 8 camera systen 16 baluns $20 is much less to pay that all your time and effort to find a solution that you cant fix without them

tplaya07 i see you seen the part about referb. thats crap it will be a return buying that system you are going to be very limited you have to buy there cameras (just a basic cameras is $180) if any from the kit went down. this is called a rg system NO bnc connectors. also you are limited to the distance you can have cameras from the dvr. even using there lead kits you still have a power problem (as power is direct from dvr) and the other problem is EBAY. can i just point out the system you have listed is CHEAPER off ebay. and you have posted a referb (secondhand) for a lot more than new. ebay nust have a good return and backup policy ( i dont think so)
  4. it because you have not used baluns over that lenth. do you also have power over cat5 ??? i see you use shelded cable
  5. it also depends on the app. and the DVR/NVR you are selling.
  6. soundy also told you there not baluns. in fact amazon also tell you there not baluns Technical Details 10 Cameras, CAT5 TO BNC Passive Video and Power Balun Transceiver Great for short distance connection -Easier for CCTV camera installation, save time and save money 2.1 x 5.5mm CCTV Camera DC Power Plug Connector. Cat5 to BNC Connector Note: This connector does Not have video balun function. do you use the touch cat5 all the time ???
  7. very bad fps playback. remember it started out as a 4 way. it is a good unit for home use but usless for stores shops gas stations. its the 4 way hybrid with another 12 analog cameras

with so many going to be using the remote viewing side then for budget a qvis dahua is a good option iphone/android/ win mobile/ ipad/ pc or mac. not many dvrs allow for all. your cameras will be a bit of a concern with you only wanting 6mm it may be best to go verifocal. you will have more options for placement.
  9. another is a E-sata box (raid) install under floor or in wall away from the dvr. http://jp.surveillance.aver.com/Upload/Product/332/product.jpg
  10. yes they can have live view. this is from the manual > Enable network storage: Select the Enable network storage check box to send the recorded video in network-attached storage. page 90 of the nano. it is a $300 unit its budget your customer loose playback from the unit. amd other options like CMS
  11. for a client it would not be good. not being able to watch footage away from there home. or iphone / android or record footage onto them. the selling point f the nano is its size ... (it is only the size of a HD) it fits in your hand. no fans so can hide anywhere it is silent. a nas will be much harder to hide than the nano.
  12. hi none of the eh or eb have been windows based only touch sa/nv are windows. no i have not done it on the nano but it does do network recording like all avers it a option in the data path network / onboard / or out to raid. i dont think many people would want to go out to nas if the dvr and nas are in the same place. are you doing it to protect the recorder from being stolen ???
  13. zekezchry. please listen ok. this command is not comming from your dvr it is comming up from your pc its being activated as you call for the dvr active x ... Inst4TWN.exe. is a problem you have. nothing todo with your dvr but pc. i dont know how anyone can help you if you dont fix this problem first http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=what+is+Inst4TWN.exe.%5B/&hl=en&rls=com.microsoft:*:IE-SearchBox&prmd=ivns&ei=vzEXT4rFEIyfOvuNyZQE&start=10&sa=N If mysterious errors messages come across in your computer, you need to check whether the Inst4TWN.exe file in your computer is valid or not. Inst4TWN.exe error is one of the most common DLL errors that any PC user will come across. It always happens when the related Inst4TWN.exe file in the operating system is deleted, corrupted or infected by virus. So you need to fix Inst4TWN.exe as soon as possible!
  14. jay has been on here before regarding handyviewer he was wrong then as well. ask jay to have this removed from the nano the eb3004 nv/sa/touch i even sent you the aver link. on what aver says it can do. Enable network storage: Select the Enable network storage check box to send the recorded video in network-attached storage.

hi. yes it was video ... i just used the snap shot to take a still. yes there is options to view other cameras when added. the active x for your users is only for first time login. after that it will go direct to footage for them.
  16. yes anything above the nano comes with aver mouse. if you need one they are not hard to get hold of.
  17. The actual remote control, not the IR cable. it comes free in the box with the dvr (1) EH1004H-4 Nano unit (2) Quick Installation Guide (3) Software CD (User’s Manual is included) (4) Remote Control(Batteries are included)(5) Power adaptor (6) Power Cord * The power cord varies depending on the standard power outlet of the country where it is sold. (7) Screws for HDD installation
  18. hi. are you talking about the remote control or the extension ir cable ??

Hi. it works fine. the software download is only allowing the activex so its just a matter of pressing yes then you have video.
  22. the OS is on the dvr its only the SA units that have a plug in O/s will you nas be off site ??? the other reason i ask about why no H/d is you will have no remote software control over your unit. no recorded footage to mobile no playback from a pc
  23. can i ask why you dont want a drive in the unit ?
  24. an internal hard drive also will alert you to a problem both internal or external raid will give alarm and report if for somereason recording has stopped. your nas will not how long do you want recordings for ??? smart record on 2tb nas will give you 30/40 days
  25. between both ...... not a lot just build price is going to be more for the NV5000 and the run costs. the nano . fanless cheaper than if you just bought the card and graphics card. all software is the same. all use same ip lists all use the same remote software
