tomcctv replied to marquita188's topic in Security Cameras
Hi. not much you can do with cheap cameras. people pay more than $24 for dummy cameras. you will have to buy better quality cameras if you need better images. -

Not very excited to hear that. I've built but haven't tried hooking up my new server I built; A xeon processor, 2 NV6480 cards and Windows 7. Haven't had much success using the Android App but I may not have the router, etc configured properly. hi. ICUUCME. aver cards have no problem being used on windows 7 at all. but the APPs are port reliant. for iphone and android you ports need to be 5550.

Bridging two analog cctv systems over internet
tomcctv replied to veetek's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
hi. your not replacing anything. if you have your cameras in one location (standard) and your DVR in another. then that is the best way ... just put them together and use a remote software. if you are just going to use video encoders. i would save the money and just replace your cameras with say a good 1.3mp axis camera and pc with software at the other location. -

tomcctv replied to pupdogg's topic in Classifieds
it may be best to let people know what your budget is. as far as i can tell from your limited spec. is you need more than a cctv company. you also need a company with a licenced for fire in that state. you may also find that any company you use. are going to want to work with the products they know. at the end of the day it is there company name that is getting used. you must have worked out some sort of budget with your customer. do you not have some drawings or anything just to see the size of job. 1 size of cctv system 2 size of fire detection system 3 door entry systems. -
i would remove the card and then just do a system restore. looking at the card specs. i cant find one that says its win7. were did you get the card.

Motorcycle theft caught with video surveillance.
tomcctv replied to thewireguys's topic in System Design
Shutters and smokecloak would be my first suggestion. Ilkie Smokecloak looks interesting have you installed them before? Is it legal in the US? I could see the perp tripping and breaking a leg then suing the owner and installer.... which BTW it think is **** ridiculous thewireguys. you have hit it right on the head. we are a user of smokeclock. we (smokebandit) much faster and better. its been used in the uk since the 80s but got into problems with the legal problems. stupid laws like if the scum fall or break something while caught in the smoke. the owner is liable.. but there is a legal way around it now. i will send you a pm. -
Hi did you manage to get your DVR to work. I just upgraded mine to firmwre 1.0.3b97 and now it does not work. When i power up I get the DVR H264 logo, then the screen goes blue. they have a warning on there website. FIRMWARE is not an upgrade. it is a fix only that if your dvr has problems. if your dvr is running without problems (do not do a firmware) firmware1.0.3b97. is only for use with the following models. US411/RVH1004/US811/RVH1008/US611/RVH1016. installing the firmware onto anyother model will render your dvr inoperable and will not be covered by warranty.

its going to be hard to setup in your area. you have the biggest distributor in europe. this is going to make it very hard for you to get good branded name cameras. asking people what they pay for cameras is not going to be much help. you have to be the same price or less. but then you have shipping. the company by you offers free P&p to spain. that alone saves £40 you would be best listing the type of cameras you intend to stock and your sale price along with postage costs.

A proposal for a budget system
tomcctv replied to enidone's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
you have got to be joking. $8.000 for a 16 way hybrid. and then camera licence on top. support $50 month. sorry you say on your web geo/aver dont even come close to yours. you are going to have to explain why for that amount of money for your own brand hybrid. whos ip cameras do you support. -
the concept is the only ptz we use . in 3 years sent 2 back. as for as connecting to your dvr. it is a direct connection. (on back of your dvr last 2 on the green strip are for ptz control) just set both dvr and ptz to 2400 so you have control over with moblie phone. only problem videcon are trade only.

Hi andy. avermedia touch monitors are good if used with the CMS software or the SA dvr/nvr but for the cost i would just stick with a good wide screen. i will post you a link to my supplier for monitors. £60 19in hanspree 5 years warranty.

sometime its best not to list your own company. like alot of people on here. they will do a company check first. its something i do anyway when looking for suppliers. you are showing up as 6 differant companys all under one name. all to do with cctv. not a good start.
