Hi Extending and moving lights or camera won’t solve your problem never mind the cost of finding out installers come across this problem all the time with you having so much light at the gate area I would try switching your camera from auto to day only …… leaving it colour 24/7 …. Use your light problem to your advantage it can also depend on which camera your using and what settings it has …… still cheaper option than moving lights to get the right camera

Hi. Text only file …. We used to use srt to overlay on video for back office pos systems is it video your looking for on file or text only

Hi only difference is the naming of features Smart Motion Detection Plus (lorex) Wizsence & wizmind (dahua) both have same features we have lorex and dahua both on a wizmind server only difference is name on camera both are Ai

Hi it seams pointless not using your existing coax but if your going the cat alternative then don’t waste money going cat6 ….. cat5e is all you need as your only doing point to point not building a network infrastructure Lorex is not a rebrand dahua lorex is dahua and is probably one of the safest places to buy a dahua system and have full support
-
Hi … looks like your using the wrong camera format …. Tvi Cvi. Ahd will work on hik but your using cheap sannce equipment which in most cases were SDI formate which is not used anymore did you buy the hikvision new ?

Coax F connector on one end and bnc on the other?
tomcctv replied to Drod714's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi you won’t get anything to run on the ANT it is frequency only using your SDI from camera gives you two options buy a SDI monitor (broadcast type) which cost a lot or convert your SDI signal to HDMI which is the cheapest option with something like the blackmagic SDI to hdmi converter box -
Hi how far was camera on coax ? this could be a problem if you go cat5 option (iP system)
-
Hi. You have been using lorex the past 6 years…… under the name of q-see ArvetX Is not a very well known system ….. does not have enough app downloads for a review to be listed … one app has not been updated for years Reolink Is a starter kit …. Cameras just make it past warranty there are many brands I would look at first TVT I rate high ….. best remote app designed gives full control of recorder from anywhere….. app is that good you don’t need a monitor lorex …. Now owned by dahua (your old q-see) has a lot of choices but you can look under dahua brand for more options take a look at dahua TIOC system some good functions and alerts for home use how are you cameras wired now … coax or cat5 cable ….. since your last install resolution is now available on both formats so could save yourself so money and time using your existing cables

Hi there is no reset on a dvr the cameras you have connected now ….. if they have IR take a look tonight when it goes dark and see if you can see a red glow on the cameras
-

Always best to keep windows upto date ….. no point risking pc security or function for a $15 …. 9 year old camera which it’s self has no support for last 4 years either pc or both app stores apps Also no security updates for 4 years and will be removed from app stores yes there lorex branded but are infact xmeye cameras and will still run on there platform lorex was also sold 3 years ago and now have there own but run on the dahua platform
-
Hi. The only reason code did not work is either time and date is wrong on dvr or password was not set in first install factory admin 888888 or 666666 and on later models either admin or left blank for password
-

Hi. You are going to find that your ptz runs and operates on its own proprietary software asks you to scan qr codes on setup and install there app to operate usb is also a sign of your camera not being a ptz ….. more like a converted webcam getting it to run on your dvr …… no as incompatible
