i have seen your post as many others have. and like others yes we know how to do a full factory reset on honeywell systems. but i dont think any cctv forum should give this info out and at least not to the world. many companys in the cctv industry protect there unit with an engineers password this protects us so as no one can play with the operating system side. you have a problem why not post were you are and see if you have a engineer who could fix your problem for a small fee. or pick up the phone and give honeywell the serial number of your dvr they will then send you a reset code. also has a small fee. But you do need to take a chill pill. you will get all the help you need on this forum all the guys you will get to know in time ...............anyway have a good sleep everthing will feel better tomorrow.

Hi.mastervision. looking at your pic. you have all cameras going to a power supply which you have listed as 24v 1 amp. if that is the case then you have no chance running all 5 cameras off that. you will need that for each camera. the cameras you have listed are 950ma with ir.

well there is your first mistake 1 is pal and the other is ntsc. were are you based ???? also if you buy direct from china you are going to have no support at all .........STAY away from ebay

on the hikvision yes you can................... but if you are the owner of the dvr it should not be a problem. why remove it. YOU could be an employe trying to cover something up. so i would say call your installer or have a engineer call in. but i hope no one gives you that info on a open forum

if your customer is complaining on a little bit of cable just walk away from the job. there is not much in replacing the single RG59 for RG59+2 as it would just to run an extra flex cable to the unpowered camera. but dont try to save money on the most important part of an install.

Hi simple. the settings you have are the best (frame 25) but i would say change your 25 to 12fps. this will allow you more storage on your H/D. .... you will not see much change using 12fps. ( pm you a demo video) were you can change the fps to see the differance.

what power are you getting at the camera end. ??? volts and amps. and what size power supply are you using.

Henry. you might find this a bit hard on you. but you are just like a bot. one of the forum rules is DONT list prices. the other is people look for info. and the one thing forum users are going to say and stand by is always buy a brand name. as far as H/Drives any good drive will do the job WD/seagate/ hitch. i have a system in wv that been running for 6 years on the same WD drives. now the op has asked questions on how to build his own and the aver 3000 card is simple to fitt and will be much better than anything on your site. plus he will have a hybrid for future add on.

the system you have listed from ebay . is not a bad little dvr (at least its a brand name) so you will get a lot of support. but not shure about the cameras.

yes on the colossus. its not a problem as such a reset every year will sort it. it can make all cameras look faulty or it does it in banks of 4 ... were are you ???

Hi coombes692. green/yellow/red is standard at the bottom of the screen (red means no camera) you need to switch them off in the menu. the red dot that i mean is in the bottom right corner and is on all the time. i will send you a full reset instructions (it only takes 5 mins)

Hi yes i have seen the avers pos working. even collecting data from the scanner. and also ever push on the till will display on the avers. it also logs voids. it is best not going though the printer ports as it only then sends data when till opens. best from display pole.

i have used two of the cnb dvrs in the past and they are not that easy to use (the same s/w as the appollo) what you are seeing in your diagram is what is called a pos box. this gives you many options of collecting your pos data to store. i would say that avermedia has the best pos system of any dvr.

i used to use slingbox for customers who never had internet option on there dvr. works good.

who is your isp in the uk. and do you have a filter on every phone line ???

Hi tondar. the problem you might have is your active x licence has ran out. to get around this just change the date on your pc/laptop to feb 2009 let your pc/laptop load axtive x settings then reset your date back.

a ptz does not have to be on tour all the time. but it is the best camera type for a carpark. its just good to have the option of a moving camera when needed. and the CNB ptz is no where near that price. and is a very good camera.

Hi tomboyt. nice to see you are putting in some good work in find the right system. but as mentioned your cost is a little low. but you have a good budget to start buying. you say you need 16 cameras. why not buy a good dvr and some cameras with your budget and keep adding as and when you can. start by protecting your loss areas first i.e tills/ stock/ kitchen area and car park. have you thought of a ptz camera for your carpark area. 1 camera ptz will save you money on putting cameras everywere. 1 ptz with sensors. also when looking for a dvr in a pub it is good to have pos on your dvr. this will let you see how much stock you have sold each day along with video. but always look for brand name systems. take a look at the avermedia range of hybrids.(all have pos) and you cant go wrong with cnb cameras. were are you so we can see who is a good supplier in your area.
