AverDigi dealers in the US... question:
tomcctv replied to Scruit's topic in Digital Video Recorders
i can send you as many as you like from the uk Do they autoswitch from PAL to NTSC? How much do they go for over there? My expereince from splitting my time between the US/UK is that if I pay a dollar for it here, I'll pay a pound for it in the UK, and that means everything costs between 1.5 and 2x more. For comparison I could go out today and buy an EB1304MOB for $400 / GBP250 new. How does that compare? Hi scruit. yes you are out by $10. i will pm you the link dont want to post it on here trade prices. -
you just need to plug the lens into the side of the camera. and set it up from the onboard display.

yes i have 3 axis cameras set up this way there is a bit of a delay but it works.

Avermedia EB1304MOB corruption issues persist
tomcctv replied to Scruit's topic in Digital Video Recorders
the HD problem was they would only run on WD green (lowpower) silly thing there is i was running one of the WD blue series which is on the hardrive compatibility list for the 1304mob. do you know what the hardrive power limits are ? i might get another of the blue drives or get the bigger version (more cache but more power hungry). the blue only has 16mb cache and the green has a 64mb cache. the green also uses a lot less power so not putting a load on your dvr. http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.asp?driveid=773 -

can you tell me what eb1304mob you have. avermedia stoped making eb1304mob 8 months ago because of HD problems. they brought out a brand new eb1304mob 6 months ago. the way to tell if you have new or old model the new eb1304mob has vga and bnc output. usb on front for download. http://www.cctvengineer.com/MOB1304.jpeg http://www.cctvengineer.com/Illustration-MOB1304.jpeg -
View Avtech DVR via Vodafone Broadband Dongle
tomcctv replied to Jonno's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hi john. i use vodafone all the time for testing my dvrs. what you need to do is change your ports for 80 as vodafone does not use them. change your dvr port to 5555 and portforward 5555 on your router. to get around your problem but when you log on remote you will need to add the port to ip ===== http://yourip:5555 -

just out of interest looking at your install picture were are you powering the cameras from. and also where are you getting the feed for the dvr. -
hi ian. you will not get it on a iphone. it needs active x which iphones dont have. the reason why i say to try 3g is it is not blocked in china. just wanted to see if it still had the problem.
-
this happends on hikvision machines a few years ago also when the H/Drive was full. empty your H/Drive (it says full in pic) so no recordings. and reboot and try again.

Hi mrreddog. the best way to look at fps is the human eye sees at 13.7 fps so anything between 5fps 15fps is good enough. as far as resolution. cif/mpeg/mjpeg/h.265. you cant go wrong with mjpeg recording just sent you a pm.
-
Hi mrreddog. the avertech is a much better spec dvr. if you stick with brand names then you are ok. lots of un branded from korea will give massive spec and good warranty (only good if you are in korea) where are you mrreddog ???

Hi Ian. what happends when you log on with 3g modem i.e vodafone, from the uk. just to see if it still has its problem

Can I use a network IP cam on GV-1240 analog card?
tomcctv replied to dagwod's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
like i said in my post this will not work on that dvr. first off the ip camera has to be supported by geovision software. which will cost alot. and like joindvr says it will only display your expensive ip camera as an analog. so you will have no function over it. buy an ip i.e axis/sony/sonyo and run it on your pc. then you will have all the benifits of ip /zoom/res/ alarms/auto zoom. and the only cosy involved is the price of your ip camera
