Ul-Tech NVR Model CCTV-8C-8D-BK no longer remotely accessible through Peer-to-Peer OKview App
tomcctv replied to smc's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi can you post a picture of your nvr main screen -
Hi. There is two types of connection cloud and P2P are you using it just for remote access
-
Hi can you post a picture of the dvr screen and one of menu qvis are right not to give out reset codes as it will just make security units useless
-
Hi it depends on camera format. going into your scart you can only use a standard analog camera sounds like you have used a HD analog … cvi tvi ahd which won’t work on scart just look for a cheap dvr
-
Ok so standard meter used not a tester why are we talking earth fault ???
-
Hi. There could be a number I’d reasons which wire method did he use did he use cat5 or 6 rj45 also size of cat6 and distance of cable run are you using a Poe switch or nvr
-
Ok but that will cost you $19k
-
Hi that can’t be done. 1.5mile x 1.5mile so a coverage of 40 mile just 50 cameras and network infrastructure will eat your budget you might find your budget will go further if you split your area up into home watch areas all having there own system
-
Hi. You can make your upgrade simple or hard and expensive your links is for equipment that is going to make hard I would not look at hikvision at all I would also not go IP system ….. the reason being you already have coax cable ran …… you could upgrade all with just a few hours changing your cameras and recorder
-
Hi what is your budget

View 2 (two) ahd cameras on one window
tomcctv replied to Grps Vasan's topic in General Analog CCTV Discussion
Hi. Your post is a bit confusing you can’t view ahd camera on bnc dvr side viewing is done via hdmi output once dvr has converted image can you explain what it is your trying to do ? -
Hi first I would take camera down ….. you need to do this to get at connectors that camera is plastic so you twist the big ring to left a half turn …. Then remove the 3 screws holding it to the management box you will then see the bnc connection and the power plug ….. bnc might look like it’s got white powder on it and also might of turn green ….. these are signs of damp or has been wet. Could even be something as simple as your installer can’t put BNC connectors on right but try that first and see what you find ….. nothing you do will upset your recorder what part of uk are you in

Hi I would say you have a cable connection problem looking at your picture your installer has no clue about cctv he has used a cable management box …. Which is good ….. but then does not bother using cable input……. He has gone into back of box …… so cable is getting squashed between facia board and camera fitting and will doing that water can get in …. Or air change causing condensation inside box £300 for that type of camera ….. don’t use that installer again ….. 18 months ago they were only £60 is the camera easy for you to get too ?

Hi. In the US it is better for you to search SuperLive plus as this is TVTs own software …… if anyone in the US is looking for a supplier then PM me one thing to look out for if it’s a dvr or nvr don’t buy old stock 2mp systems are 4 years old and max 2mp 5mp systems are 2 years old and max 5mp on both dvr and nvr the newest is 4K nvr and dvr backward compatible so from 2 to 8mp the dvr also supports iP cameras in the 4K range and both dvr and nvr will take most cameras and auto setup 4k Ai units are the newest to go with
-
We can only answer what you post D1 13 year old dvr can’t take digital analog Ahd was not used on cctv then so the hd cameras you have are backward compatible….. which is standard for cvi tvi ahd but you will only be using the D1 side of it which goes back to first post your going backwards HD 5mp cameras are around $20 now and a recorder is around $60

Blue Iris vs Synology.
tomcctv replied to DevsAd's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Hi. There is not much expansion with smart cameras if any synology. Might be achievable but it will be open for others to see into your storage running on a vms will only give you basic video all the Ai is done on camera and is done via app you need to know if you have access to your cameras IP address and ports …. But since your camera setup is qr then it is most likely P2P app needs it connection to all the time -

Hi stevee yes the hard drive out of your pc should work … just check the drive speed as the Apollo only uses 7.200 rpm …. It will be listed on the drive its is worth doing your self it won’t stop your recorder working To be honest instead of calling an engineer to insert a hard drive on a old machine like that I would spend the money on a new dvr you will save money we’re are you located
-
Hi stevee £90 is not bad to just move a mouse and click on format it’s very technical wonder how much he would charge to get some tools out £200 to fit a hard drive …. 5 mins work…. There is no programming just two wire connections but less than £200 you can have a new dvr with the ability to change your cameras overtime to 4K so gives you another 5 to 10 years but first if you have a Philips screw driver I will send you a hard drive for free for your pioneer take top cover off then turn unit over and you will see 4 screws holding hard drive in … unplug the two wires and insert new one then see if you have the same problems does that sound like a plan
