Standard nvrs yes in most cases use other cameras ... but in the Swann and lorex links you posted the cameras only work with those systems ... proprietary systems have never been good. Install cost was not ment can you install it ...... i ment by the time you bought Costco system then the power pack and cables and bnc and camera power cable ... add an extra $200 on top of the price that’s is because your link is analog hd Yes was wrong ..... look at lorex storage calculator it states when set at 1080 2mp is 16 days .... 8mp is only 3 Costco link is HD analog link I posted which is much better and will be cheaper to install than Costco system is full ip

Your link above and the Swann system these are system with features that are not needed there gimmicks flashimg lights and siren on a camera only alerts to location of camera .. then you have to remember the cameras will not work on anything else so nvr can’t be changed or up graded your costco link ..... you are only looking at 2-3 days recording with 2tb so extra hard drive would be needed if you go on holidays . Then there is your extra install costs ..... We used to sell ring and a few years ago recommended it now owned by amazon and the cloud storage you pay your isp for broadband and amazon uses it for there own business .... there should be giving it away if it’s something protecting there own business.... same with amazon key

You will have to look at manual to see how to adjust camera position some are locked down with screw and some are just tight as far as a ptz google hikvision mini ptz

Hi Steve if your system is 960h then that is the best resolution you are going to get .... which is the highest in standard analog. Your system will take any standard analog camera but if your going to add to your existing system look for 4 in 1 analog .... they do all formats which means later on you only need to change your recorder to a HD analog which will then turn your system HD prices analog only are the same price as 4 in 1 analog HD

Hi. Most DVRs any make could have a loud van some even lorex you might not hear. a silent fan only costs a few $ you can use HDMI extender with mouse control if you place NVR in your bedroom and have control and view on your tv.
