Hi. For your first install and as it’s for a house I would surgest a 4way ip system .... less cables to install camera system usually come in 4-8-16 if you only install 3 you will always have a blank screen on live view what is your budget and location

dvr Connecting my DVR to router Via WiFi Dongle?
tomcctv replied to desipher's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi. Some manufactures a few years ago included dongles to work with there systems ...avermedia being one of them in your case adding a dongle will need software to be added to your recorder which you can't do. the only option you have with not using a cable is power line adapters just plug one into back of recorder and one direct into your router https://www.netgear.com/home/products/networking/powerline/- 5 replies

At this point .... Like asked don't make it personal ........is the time I can call you a idiot but good luck in looking for the latest firmware
-
Good luck with that
-
Hi. Can you give a little more info ......do you use a recorder and what type analog or IP
-
I'll respond to what I want ....... You can also make it personal I could not give a crap. is it my fault you come on and don't like the answer ....... Is it my fault you don't understand out of support .......(how will you extract the files) its not my fault you have not given your reginal code for your recorder it's not my fault your recorder will only perform with 520 cameras and only CIF but more important you don't understand how a forum works ......you can put your question as many times as you like ......the answer is the same ......it's not anyone's fault it's old .....no ones fault it's no longer supported .......and it's only your fault your looking for the latest firmware no point spitting your dummy out for something that ended in 2012 and getting personal it's a forum you asked a question you got a answer ......not my fault you want something that started in 2008 and finished in 2012
-
Firmware and support ended 2012 ....... 2012 is the latest so fill your boots but no support answer is still the same too old
-
That part ...... Look at the forum I know avtech very well 11 year old DVR cif4 .....has no support was as only responding to your post with a fact
-
Hi. The only place you can get a replacement is from where you bought them that who your warranty will be with.
-
Hi this system is 11 years old it has no suppprt. You cant turn old into new with just firmware it’s a 4cif system ... old
-
Hi did you also use lead kits .... they would of come with the system they never work there not 75ohm the power conductor is too small .... on this forum lead kits have always been a problem cheap wire not coax This unit beets the Swann in everything and is cheaper https://www.lorextechnology.com/hd-dvr-security-system/4k-8mp-hd-camera-home-security-system/4KMPX44-1-p

Hay it’s whats printed in your link i am never polite to spammers but let’s put it your way .... yes cctv can see a fire ...... but only when it is on fire significantlyreduce the chances of a fire breakout your words ........ so how does it do that ? Ok so buy a cctv system then employ someone to watch cameras 24/7 yes you have monitoring but that is what a professional fire alarm is for ..... cctv IS NOT A FIRE ALARM AND certainly has no business in a warehouse to protect against fire cctv is information not a alarm if you sell cctv then sell it but don’t sell it as something it is not
-
It is as simple as changing your supplier as far as expensive 4in1 HD analog are low price to start with $20 for 2mpand that’s brand name we’re are you located
-
Kendrawph that’s miss leading crap on your website Your cameras must be state or the art units having a camera that can alert beforehand to a fire cctv that can deter accidental fire. Would like to hear how it works but I think your just doing sales crap in fact I know you are fire safety systems are a completely different business to cctv different regulations completely different install and is regulated and it saves lives dont get them mixed up .....
-
Doing the test would of been simple to see what happends someone could of moved mouse over it or a reboot could of changed the format when you buy another camera DONT limit your system by just buying a AHD camera .... that unit runs 4in1 cameras anything 2mp 4 in 1 will work
-
Ok but what happends when you change the format how are your cameras wired and size of power unit
-
Southern I’m west thermal detection if not on dvr is on cam cam you change resolution on your recorder to 4mp and see what night time image is like
-
Hi. I saw this problem in November on a system Are your cameras that came with your system thermal comparable ? this is a feature that is not needed on a home system and Swann have just made it complicated....... cameras that stay colour at night is a much better feature and useful we’re thermal is useless even a black and white footage is better than thermal. and the other stupid feature if your using it is the smart device intergration we’re are you located ? with your recorder I would start with switching off thermal detection mans if your still not happy with the night quality then don’t waste time on a function that is not needed anyway and swap it out
-
Hi you will need to post a screen shot of your dvr menu ... your not going to find a reset button so don’t take it apart and loose your warranty
-
Hi looking at your pictures your recorder is set to AHD..... that will not display your TVI cameras wrong format...... at the bottom left of that camera screen next to camera name there is a gray box ....... right click on that and it goes to different cam formats cvi tvi ahd analog ..... keep pressing till it displays tvi and see if that changes anything
