couldn't agree more! Trying to see if they offer any kind of exemption similar to the TWA for low voltage cabling

    NJ Licensing

Hi Tom Thanks for the reply, I understand what you're saying....we've actually been unstalling CCTV systems for over 10 years in addition to our other products. I could see their logic if this was a "life saving" device or even if the cameras were tied into the alarm system; in our case these are simply stand alone systems. To me it just looks like another move by NJ to put their hands in you pockets.. Are you located in NJ too?

    NJ Licensing

Hello We've been in business in NJ over 30 years doing telephone systems, cabling, intercom, and for about the last 10 years CCTV. Just found out on Friday that the State of NJ requires a Burglar Alarm license to install CCTV; this is a costly and time consuming license to obtain for something we have never nor ever will install. Wondering if anyone else was in a similar situation.... Thanks Tom

    NJ License

Hello I think this has been asked before but don't recall seeing the answer. In New Jersey is a license required to install cctv systems? We are an interconnect company doing mainly telephone systems but also do a fair amount of cctv; I know that Fire & Burglar alarms require one but cannot get a firm answer on cctv. Thanks as Always Tom
  5. Really disappointing! What is the timreframe for Blackberry viewing?
  6. thanks.....just curious, can this be done with Geovision?
  7. Has anyone been able to view a Nuuo hybrid system on a Blackbery Storm 9530? If so please provide instructions. Thanks Tom OSullivan
  8. thanks so much, that worked! Is this a decent megapixel camera for the price compared to a 600 tvl analog camera? Tom
  9. Trying to add an Acti 4200 IP camera to a Nuuo hybrid serrver, changed the camera's ip address to the same range as ther server but when I hit search to locate the camera nothing is found. The camera can be viewed on the netwirk vai the web browser, any advice appreciated. Thanks Tom
  10. Looking at the Nuuo Hybrid system for a school. Original configuration would probably be for 32 cameras, 24 analog & 8 IP, what specs should we be looking at for the server? Customer will be moving from a Nuvico DV3, would apprciate any feedback regarding Nuuo. Thanks Tom
  11. Good Morning Was looking for suggestions on comparable alternatives to the discontinued DV3 line. Nuvico has the EV (entry level) and AP (enterprise) but nothing in the middle unless you go with AP Lite. Was also considering NUUO, has anyone used the NUUO products? Look to reasonably priced and feature rich when compared to the standalones. Thanks As Always Tom

Had the same problem, load the viewer manually from their website and you should be OK. Also looking at this DVR for an upcoming project but I'm guessing their demo does not do it justice as the EV demo actually look like the same quality.
  14. Just wanted to check in and see anyone has feedback/experieince with this unit. Looks like a lot of bang for the buck.. Thanks Tom[/b]
  15. Recently installed 4 IR cameras at a park playground, the township had trenched and installed CAT 5 cable to the camera locations. Cameras are fine in daylight but do not work at night; contacted the dealer and they say that in order for the IR to function (80 IR LEDs, 12V DC 500 ma) a minimum of 18 ga wire needs to be used. Re-running the cable would be extremely difficult so I'm looking for options, would swapping out the cameras to low lux be a solution? If so what would be a good camera to use? Camears are about 30' from the playground. Thanks as always. Tom
