    ONE Inch Test Monitor Help

You are correct (I forgot to mention this point) the and the build quality is outstanding and you will be impressed (those who decide to try this). The screen has to be looked at straight on for best viewing. Actually looking downward at the screen looks a little better. If you are looking from the bottom up angle the screen is too dark. It also has a little very sturdy flip out stand. I use the flip out stand on my desktop to monitor my current 4 channel camera system. Now I'm putting together another system. I have purchased some cameras already, HVC-24VF's & CB-HD39N-L's. I need a good 16 or 8 channel DVR. I'm in the US NC. I would like the Samsung SRD-870DC or SRD-1670dc but they seem to be a little to much money. I am also looking at the 16 channel Q-see QT526-1 which is sold in a kit at Costco for $799.00 as item #583588. It claims to do 16 x 60FPS. No one can seem to vouch for this claim. It does not have HDMI but so what. I don't want to hijack the thread but would appreciate if someone could advise a good DVR besides the Dahua. A PM would even be good. Mini

    ONE Inch Test Monitor Help

I will tell you that I have this monitor that I bought from amazon. very inexpensive, very bright, runs two hours on a built-in battery and frankly I don't see how you could beat it. Here is a link to the monitor: [edit by mod-store link removed] The monitor has a threaded tripod hole on the center bottom so you could use the Gorillapod shown in the photos and just wrap the legs to the ladder. [edit by mod-store link removed] Amazon reviews show 3.5. I haven't reviewed it. Most people like myself don't take the time to return and write a review inless theres a problem that I want to let others know about. This is an excellent monitor and I recommend it. Mini If you're in or near a Canadian city with an XS Cargo store, I suggest one of these: Amazon.com has them as well, including a couple of TV-only models (with A/V inputs) in both 7" and 10": 0

Q See Professional DVR - is it Dahua???

Thank you soooo much for the reply Bill...... I have been looking at these two QC recorders for a long time and actually ordered the 526 only later to cancel it due to the lack of specifics... Can you tell me how you like the 528? Are the user screens modern and does the machine do all that you want it to do or what all is advertised? I wanted to buy the stand alone 526 and purchase the better cameras from recommendation on here. What do you think about that? Any "likes/dislikes" you are willing to share would be much appreciated... Oh one more thing,,, why do you mention the TVT TD-2516HE? Mini

Q See Professional DVR - is it Dahua???

This DVR "QT526-1" is quoted all over the internet as being able to record 30fps on all 16 channels. Although nowhere does it say the max frame rate is 480. Does anyone here have this recorder? If so how will it record... only a couple of channels at a time at 30fps, 4 channels at once at 30fps... I would almost bet that it will not do all 16 channels at once running them at 30fps. now I know some on here will jump in and say: "why do you want to record at 30fps when only 15 is needed?".... This is not the point... The question is what is the maximum "total" frame rate? Thanks to all!

  10. Interesting... But the specs say 1/4" CCD... Won't this make it a little narrow on the 3.5mm focal? I wonder why they didn't put 1/3 sensor?

    Q-see .264 video

I use Adobe Premiere PRO CS5.
  13. HI, Can someone please PM me some sources to purchase equipment that is talked about on here? I think is is against rules for store links to be posted public for some reason which beats me. I came here for information on good equipment but the places to purchase it has to be kept secret. I really don't understand this concept. I need a good 8 or 16 channel DVR. I been looking at the TDN cameras specifically the VCM-24VF I would also like to find good quality IR cameras, or TDN and good IR illuminators I can only start out with about three good cameras. I have a special interest in PTZ cameras of high quality. There will be existing low light in some areas and some areas that are quite dark. The distance will be 12 - 50' for the most part. Although I will monitor the streets around me as well which has street lights. would need wide angle on most of the cams but not all. I have sent an eMail to one MOD but got no replies. Thanks for all that can offer some assistance. I live in North Carolina USA My starting budget would be $1500.00 After more reading, I am liking the MegaPixel IP cameras that around 3MP For DVR I would need to record about 14 days before it starts to overwrite. I know a quality DVR is key as is a good camera. I would like to start with an excellent DVR with a couple of EXCELLENT HD cameras Mini
