  1. I would bypass the NVR and power the camera another way, like 110v supply or poe switch and see if that works. It may be incompatible with the NVR. I would also check with the seller of the camera on compatibility with the NVR.
  2. Try windows 10/chrome/ ie tab extension for chrome. Or try blue iris on windows 10, it has a trial version and it works on my Huisun ptz.

    Accessing system away from home.

Yes, look your router up at portforward.com for instructions for port forwarding.

    Guardian Expert setup help please!

Did you forward the proper ports for the camera(s)?
  5. If you mix cameras, you may want to look at Blue Iris software. It runs on a computer, no DVR needed. There is a trial version, and the full version costs about $60.
  6. If good night vision is important, look at Dahua starlight cameras.

    Dahua Supplier

B&H Photo is a US retailer, and is more expensive. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/ Empire Technology has a good reputation but is an Aliexpress seller. https://www.aliexpress.com/store/1200032

    Mp or starlight

There are more megapixel starlight/lowlight cameras coming out every day it seems. Starlight cameras can and do have IR too. Some people like to light up the area all night long with white light and leave their cameras on forced 24 color mode. Others like motion lights, it depends on what YOU want. Motorized or varifocal are great for adjusting your field of view, but cost more. Some people will get one varifocal camera, then move it around the yard to determine the best fixed lens option for different areas, then order the cheaper fixed lens cameras.

    Mp or starlight

Yes, in my opinion, starlights are worth it. You can find some comparison videos with a google search. There are some higher megapixel Dahua starlight cameras that have come out too.
  10. Probably not enough IR light. If you can send them back, look for Hikvision ultra lowlight or Darkfighter cameras, much better at night. Or you could try an external IR light, something like this. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MTXSJP9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05__o00_s00?creativeASIN=B01MTXSJP9&linkCode=w61&imprToken=B4w1mXOVAXLJzqzmoxI2GA&slotNum=1&tag=ipctk-20&ie=UTF8&psc=1
  11. Sometimes symptoms like that might indicate a power supply problem. The ir lights coming on push it over the edge. Do you have another power supply to test? Another possibly could be the power connection, try a different cable.
  12. I agree with the 2 previous posts. Move the one so that it is not reflecting off the wall, and clean those spider webs. I have to go outside a couple of times a week with a broom to clean spider webs. And clean those lenses for any rain spots.
  13. Did you try the Hikvision settings on NVR? Does the NVR and camera support ONVIF protocol? Try downloading the ONVIF device manager and see if it can connect to the cameras. When mixing brands of cameras with NVR it is usually done with ONVIF.

    Colorvu, darkfighter , darkfighterx

Colorvu is always in color mode, while the other switches to black&white at night and is IR se https://www.hikvision.com/en/Press/Press-Releases/Corporate-News/Hikvision-ColorVu-Cameras-Capture-Vivid-Chromatic-Images-in-Darkness

    Hikvision Motion emails

Hikvision does not have geofencing, look to see if Control4 does have it.
  16. You could try lowering the frame rate FPS to 15 or even 12 on the cameras. And match the I Frame Interval to the same as FPS.
  17. I don't think it's a varifocal camera, ie no zoom.
  18. Ahhh, the life story of a spam company.
  19. Fenderman does have a unique way getting his message across. ? Even if you don't like him, there is much valuable info at that site.
  20. Post some links to the 2 types of cameras.

    Any reliable makes?

Wireless is not reliable because of interference from other wireless items/gadgets.
  22. As for me, I would trust factory specs over personal opinions in forums.

    IP,SUBNETMASK,GATEWAY DOES NOT MATCH

You need your external ip address, those are your local ip address. You need to forward correct ports on your dvr. https://portforward.com/ https://www.canyouseeme.org/ Be aware that forwarding ports opens your system up to the internet and hackers.
