as installers, how much do you spend on gas each month?
scorpion replied to fortunetop10's topic in General Digital Discussion
At $4.00 per gallon, I am spending $200.00 a week on gas. $150.00 at a minimum. I can burn $400 a week. If I am that busy running around then it equates to business income, and I am happy with that in this economy! Site Surveys $100.00 This is returned with system purchase. At least this pays for the gas. If I am hauling 8 spools of siamese wire, and cat 5, and can really suck up the gas! -
I do not know what your needs are, but my website host is free. I do not know how big my website is, but I get 4000 hits a month roughly. https://home.officelive.com/Signup/Default.aspx?sku=SBBase&signupsrc=splitter&lc=en-US My website is poor in appearance as I am not a "website designer", and I do not know all of the tricky little codes, although I wish I did. I would say mine is more for the beginner designer, or a start up business, or for a small Mom n Pop business. This may not be for everyone, but I am extremly pleased with it so far. Excluding my designing what do you all think of a company that provides a free website? How does the back ground look? How does the placement of pictures, links, hyperlinks, font, and metatagging appear from my website? Your feed back is greatly appreciated!

Would adding a few IR illuminators be more cost effective than replacing all of the cameras?

I can only guess, but I am wondering if the cameras are "starving" for power? -

The video looked good over the internet from what I saw. I took some screen shots but I will not post them without permission due to security concerns.

Looks like the CCTV business has been treating very, very well!!! LOL! I wish you the best of luck on your new adventure!

Did you have a chance to call them on Friday? Who is your rep?

I am an AVTech guy myself, and I have sold some ICRealtime units, but what you are describing is not an ICRealtime. I am curious as to where you bought it? If you do not have a clear video over the internet then something is really wrong, and I mean really really wrong. My first thought when you said that you have a poor video over the internet is that you do not have an ICRealtime machine. I could see where a mistake has been made of some sort in the chain, and you end up with a Flex, rather than an FlexR30, and mistakes can happen, and Lord knows I make enough of them to make my distributor double check my needs! I hope I am not sticking my head out too far, but I will stand behind ICRealtime. Do you have an 8, or a 16, or a 32? If I pay for the shipping will you send it to me?? I really want to take a look at this. I wonder if this might be a knock off! You are doing to much research! Your eyes are going to fall out of your head! Your articles are excellant! Keep up the great work!

The question is: How far away are they from you? If they are close to you then you can get your products next day! I being on the east coast in the USA cannot order from California as it take 5 days to get here, plus burn in time, and then installation schedule. Most of my customers do not want to wait this long for an install! Who is reputable, and who is close to you?

They can do it here! http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/webcam_communications/video_software_services/video_effects/&cl=us,en Face Accessories are 2D images, such as wigs, glasses, or bushy eyebrows, that will appear on top of your video and move with your image during a video instant messaging session. I would like to see this tech used at a pos (point of sale). The software puts a circle around an item that has not been rung up, and tracks the item such as "under the cart theft" ect! How about a circle on the guy/girl who is walking the wrong way such as at an airport, or a theme park where travel paths are directional. I know they have this tech, but in a cheaper software version.

Hello! I would like this wireless camera that you have in the glass case. I am trying to watch who is stealing my mail from my mailbox. You mean I can't get a video of the guy's face? What do you mean that I have to change a 9 volt battery everyday??? Well then it will watch my car at night then. NO?? Why not? What is IR? Oh Kay! I will take the wireless outdoor IR cam. Oh? I only have $50.00! I need a vcr too? Well Ya! I do want to record. Yikes! You mean I have to buy 7 tapes, one for each day, and I need 3 tapes a day for 24 hour recording? I feel dizzy ................I ..................think ..........................I ............................am .................................going to ................................faint!
