Dual monitor output - Geovision software

There is no output on the Geo card for TV etc, the only way I could get Geo SW/HW doing that is using a DSP card. I have been running a Trial of Windows 2003 server for a while on the system which it was running fine, so I know the hardware can do it. I have upgraded windows on my main rig to XP 64 bit, so my 32 bit is available, and due to the server os nearing expiration, I transferred my XP 32 over to the server, its jsut with XP I am having the problem.

Dual monitor output - Geovision software

Its a fairly modern TV, which has had no issues running the PC before, and it can easily handle 800x600 as it has been used on another server for a while. The TV is still displaying the buttons, anything the main display displays, just not video.

Dual monitor output - Geovision software

I am trying to get the TV output of my graphics card to display the cameras, so I can be in another room, flick to a scart socket, and see the images. The TV is displaying exactly what the main monitor is, but there is no video, its just slabs of pink. When I configure a camera, I get the relevant video feed for the camera options, its just not displaying video in its normal mode. Any ideas?? Video card is a NVidia GeForce 6200 and the DVR is the Geo GV-600

    Advice please on camera types

LOL, I hate the little critters, they do love the IR's! Thanks for your help. I will give RF a look as I have used them before and they seemed very helpful. I just wanted to get a 'broader' view of things.

Thanks Rory, I will give it a day or two to see if anyone who is in the UK and is a reseller sees this as I would appreciate their input on it.

    Advice please on camera types

Sorry Rory, which link?? Plus I need to find a camera that is in the UK, as if I order from overseas, I am going to have to pay some kind of import tax and vat when going through customs and excise and like to know what the cost is when ordering all in.

    Advice please on camera types

I dont think I need to have a hidden camera in a electrical box, as that would also stand out where it has to go. I like the look of the dome one with the IR illuminators that AVConsulting gave link to, but I can find a UK supplier.

    Advice please on camera types

To me, covert and discreet are hand in hand really. I want something that is going to do a good job, but it doesnt stand out like a sore thumb, perhaps I should have chosen my words better. Probably some kind of bullet camera, I would be happy to look at something around the size of a drinks can in size.

    Advice please on camera types

Thanks for the reply guys. It has to be one camera, for starters, the cable run is 40 metres long to the room where the PC is based, 2nd, I have a 4 port GV600, and already have 4 cameras working, the camera I want is to replace one that is now starting to fail. Max budget is probably £150, but I want as 'covert' as possible, but it has to mount under a bit of the eves, just below a guuter line.

    Advice please on camera types

I need a camera to go on my garage. It will be working in low light conditions so obvioulsy day/night with IR would be good. Also higer resolution the better. I would like to have a wide angle of view with it. Is it best to use a normal B&W camera, and use seperate IR illumintors or use all in one. The thing I have noticed, with the IR cameras is that the IR spot is very centralised, whereas I would like a wide flood of IR light. Dont want to spend a raft of money as this is for my system at home, but the camera that I have is now giving up after two years, and want something good. Any recommendations chaps?

Yes, you can add more cameras, but you need to buy extra bits have a look at the bottom of the geovision page http://www.geovision.com.tw/002/en/product-gv600.asp
