COV on AVC760 display

Recommended Posts

COV on Channel 1 appears. how can i remove this? this happened after a brownout.

Check you manual - the channel may be in Covert mode.

Covert mode hides the image from the main display when the admin is not logged in. This lets you run a camera watching your employees and they can't tell you have it just by looking at the DVR screen.

Have you powered down the unit completely?

I also wonder if a hard reset would get rid of it?

Sounds like the covert as mentioned earlier could be the problem, took a look at the manual (dont have that model to test, but found manual online) it states

3) COV (COVERT):

Select “YESâ€
