Is LED light good for CCTV night video?

Recommended Posts

5000/5500K LED flood lights - any good for CCTV? Megapixel CCTV cameras if it changes anything.

Yes, white light LED flood lights will work fine.

Best,

Christopher

But is there a point of spending so much money on LED lighting? Does it give MUCH better video compared to ordinary lighting?

The point is to save money with the LEDs. Less energy and no bulbs to change.

Hey

My company just got in a white light illuminator that does 1KM of white light.

We are using with a 750mm camera and video analytics to alert train operators of objects or people obstructing the tracks to prevent train collisions.

I would post a link and show you a picture but it won let me PM me if interested.

Best Regards

I do white light units, I have been designing my own including IR versions.

IR has its purposes but WL @6000K is fantastic even a 1w unit will provide more detail and information than a grainy IR image ever will.

I did lots of testing from 1 to 300W to see how low I could go !

According to me it is always better for us to get a security system at low costs that is there should not be any expensive expenditure it is always better to go for infrared security cameras instead of spending money on LEDs. Infrared cameras will be good to use for night.

If you want to get some details or to know about some items than visit 1800securitycamera.com

Thanks!

Always better? Well, according to me, your posts are nonsense.
