Which IP camera you guys prefer and why?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone... Let's discuss

"Arecont Vision" vs "Mobotix"

Which IP camera you guys prefer and why? Or you have any good brands to recommend? Panasonic? Samsung?

I'm planning to get dealership for some good IP cameras. Will it be difficult to get the dealership?

We've been using IQEye cameras for several years now and been pretty happy with them. Recently had Areconts foisted upon us by client demands and been finding them frustrating at best - the cameras themselves perform alright, but the software and interface are horrible.

Never tried Mobotix, but I've heard lots of good things about them, would love to check some out.

it all depends on the type of installation and budget,

My lists goes like....

Acti -good value

AXIS -good quality great images

Arecont for jobs that need a lens or illuminator

Mobitix for specialised installs like 360 domes and Portable cam/DVR combo`s.

IQeye are way to expensive here to even think about using !

Avigilon are the same. I cant even use or buy them without "training"

Acti and Axis are proactive here in Australia, Im sure the others will catch up soon tho.

my 2c
