G4-4000 or AVR-400

Both are stable systems, well designed. The SDVR-4000 has a bit friendlier user interface.

the Active Tek unit has a ton of features for a low-mid end DVR system, worth every penny.

It is sold across the US under various names. Ask fred about it, he has been selling them for a while now on the cali side. Not a major brand DVR nor really high end, but a better than great entry level unit. I used the remote software and its easy to use and has administration configuration of the DVR also.

Great unit, I just hate the noise of the cheap fan. But most embedded dvr's in this range has the same problem. The SDVR-4500 from Nadatel (MPEG4) is fanless, but it lacks the IE browser support, software is required for remote monitoring, and the max speed of ffw is X4 compared to X64 on the AVR-400. Don't know who sells them in the US though. It's a new product.
