got to install 2 1.3mp cams...

 

should i run a core i3 box with vms software or buy a 4 channel nvr....ya think a core i3 with 6 gigs of ram and 1 tb of storage seprate drive is gonna be alright?

on I3 with 6 gigs of RAM u can run alot more then 2-1.3mp cams

Hmm, who was it here that was building eight-camera Exacq servers on Atom processors? If all you're doing is receiving the stream and writing it to disk, you really don't need a lot of processor or RAM.

 

BTW, for anything over about 3.5GB RAM, you need to use a 64-bit OS... make sure the software you're using supports it.

hi for 2 x 1.3mp just use a aver nano its cheaper than building something.
