Which Indoor Mount for Box Camera?

Recommended Posts

I am thinking about putting 4 box cameras indoors, I have seen them in banks on a mount and NOT an enclosure.

They don't need to be in the weatherproof enclosure like this when I use them indoors. (At least I don't think.) What mount do you suggest for box cameras?

Why put them in an enclosure when you can just use a simple mount? mounts are only about $15.00

That's what I'm asking the community to suggest is a simple mount that they would use.

I just bought some used cameras that came from a bank upgrade.

They had Pana-Vise and Pelco mounts.

Here is the Pana-Vise link:

These are nice mounts. I'll try to find the link for the Pelco mounts.

The Pelco are much larger, maybe more than what you need.

Edit: Here is an example of the Pelco mount:

ATW makes a very good and inexpensive indoor camera mount. just saw one on Amazon listed for $5.00. they come in off white and black. try atwbrand.com it might be a good website for them.

I'll second the Panavise mounts if you don't need something super-strong/vandalproof. They're very flexible, reasonably sturdy, and not too expensive. I used to need to mount cameras in a variety of settings, and some combo of Panavise parts nearly always filled the bill.

The Panavise mounts are really nice, but possibly overkill for a lot of applications. (I do use them in areas where there can be significant vibration).

I've been using the ATW's for years in many indoor applications, and they've held up fine.

Thanks guys my supplier sells all of these mounts that are at these sites.... just making sure that is what you would use as well '

(Pana-vise does have some more specialized mounts that my supplier does not though.)
