Any info on this DVR?

Recommended Posts

I came across this DVR today, 8ch, 240 fps, h.264 compression, etc. etc. Anyone familiar with this model?

I can't figure out the manufacturer but there are several sites selling the same model. Is it safe to buy an off-brand like this, or do I need to stick with brand name stuff like Sanyo?

There are a lot of offbrand DVRs that are pretty good quality if you take into consideration the price difference. There's always a risk that the DVR could be low quality, so that's why it's important for an integrator or reseller to form a relationship with a trusted distributor who offers a variety of products and can make recommendations.

sooo close

That 240fps is in low res, so in High Res would probably be more like 60fps on an 8 channel.

Its probably chinese ... anyway here are some others with H2 tech..

That is what I was afraid of. Any recommendations for a 8 ch or 9 ch? I want good remote monitoring and at least 2ch of audio recording and real time recording in High Res. I searched and saw lots of talk about the I-view, but I can't find any dealers. How much does the Digi-800XP go for? Any online dealers?

Yeah I think the stopped that model. Besides its PC based.

Better off buying the Geo 8 channel Combo card with a Remote Control for the DSP output, if you want real time ..
