New solution for on Site Config / Camera pointing

This looks like a beast to move around but you can beat the size of the screen and it runs windows. You could probably even run a full VMS on it. Thoughts?

Computers are certainly evolving, here is another concept of moving away from big box style systems: http://xi3.com/xi3_brochure.php

 

They also make a vesa mount that you can attach it right on the back of your monitor.

 

Still will have to go back to traditional mechanical disks for storage, even if there was not a limited number of writes with SSD, $1/GB is a bit extreme. Makes for great OS drives though.

I have a 24" touchscreen tablet on my desk, Just needs Windows 8 and I'm ready to start walking around with it, just needs 110VAC and someone to help me carry it.

I just use a 15" dell laptop with windows XP and a SSD drive. Boots in 20 seconds and the drive wont crash if it gets dropped.
