Viewing Two DVR's

Hello to all,

 

I am sure this has been asked before.

 

I have two DVR's, both are installed in one room for security.

 

I want to be able to view all of the camera feeds on one LCD monitor located some 15 metres away and also select individual screens if required, I am aware of software that allows this type of viewing on a PC / LAPTOP setup.

 

I have searched the Web but have been unable to find a suitable answer.

What you need is an 8 channel multiplexer.

 

Something like this:

Then you would connect a cable to the BNC video out with a BNC connector on one end and connect the other end to the AV video in on the TV with an RCA connector.

I guess those DVR has bundled CMS you jsust carry out that via computer then you could display and control on monitor.

I think he was looking for a solution that avoided the use of a computer.

I should mentioned I have 20 cameras to view across both DVR's so is the PC route with software my only option.

I have looked at KVM equipment but have no knowledge of their capabilities or limitations.

What brand are the DVR's?

KVM (Keyboard, Video and Mouse) allows you to control two or more pc's through the use of one monitor keyboard and mouse, it is not designed to let you view 2 at once.

Or yu could consdiering carry out VGA/HDMI video processor w/ PS2 port, which similar KVM but its allow two or more chaneel in dual/quad spliting on one monitor/TV with mouse to control.
