one is IR but don't care, around the same TVL's around the same varifocal lens, about the same features, why is there such a HUGE price variance?? anyone explain to me in lay man terms?? why should I get one over the other?? whats the difference? what do I need to lookout for?

One the more expensive model, you have more built in features, slightly higher TVL, dual voltage, RS485 remote setup. It has some bells and whistles the other camera does not, then again I never really trust what people put on ebay, as everyone and there mother claims their DVR is a D1 real time.

You are also paying for the name and someones markup on the more expensive one, not always a bad thing as I like to be able to return things when they don't work, try that on ebay.

At the end of the day you get what you pay for, will you be happy with the camera off ebay perhaps I don't know if you want all the extra features or easy return, its up to you.

Looks like there's a 300-400% markup from that store.

similar looking camera (with worse specs) to the ebay camera...but only $146 after the original $328!

But then again, if they are selling directly to end users and provides support, that's about the right price (maybe $30 too much).
