IP / MAC filtering - what this really mean

If I enable this function and not add my computer MAC address. What it is meant for me?

I will not have access to camera webinterface, I couldn't see rstp stream?

Sheesh, ak. Why not just spell it out?

 

IP / MAC filtering means only the devices listed in the IP Address / MAC Address list you enter may "talk" to the device with the filter in place.

 

An example: I have MAC Address filtering enabled on my wireless router. Only the devices whose MAC Address I've manually entered into the Address List can access my WiFi system. Others can't, even if they have the correct WPA security key.

I don't spell it out, because I not in LAN network.

In case my laptop will lost access, that I can't change settings.

 

And if I want to have access from my smarptohne (mobile network) how can I add this smarphone do MAC Filtering ? MAC is only for WIFI not for mobile ?
