Black video after power loss

Recommended Posts

I am trying to setup a small network, with a GV800-4. THought I had it all working, software version 8.1 .

Video was there, motion record was working and I could view the logs from my other PC.

But then had a power cut, I restored power, rebooted PC, and camera software started, but now it does not display a picture, just a black screen, I tried moving the input around, and the black screen moves with it.

Any help would be appreciated...........

Is it just one cam doing the black screen? Are other cams showing video?

If others are ok, then check the camera, it could have a problem, can you view the cam direct on a monitor/tv?

Tried the camera on a TV closeby and camera picture is ok?

Most probably this is a GV800 card failure after power loss. Ask your GV distributor for a replacement card.

Did a complete reinstall of Windows, then installed camera software and all appears to be working again.

Not sure what went wrong, but I couldn't even remove and reinstall software.
