Tamron lens help

Recommended Posts

I just purchased a Tamron 13VG308ASIR 1/3 3-8mm F1.0 lens for use on a Sanyo VCC-4324 day/night camera. The lens includes a filter and spacer that is refered to on a small piece of paper as a "B/W aberration compensation filter". There is no explanation on any of the documents as to what the heck this is used for on the camera. Do I need to include this on the camera if it is day/night? Without it the video looks fine.

I havent used that version. Possibly this filter is used for Infrared applications. I have only used their 4594 version camera in a day night with IR application, and in that case I did not have to use any kind of filter, just added the lens and it worked great.

on back of lens and i have a extra spacer - lens to camera

"it is for b/w camera aberration compensation filter"

my day and nite b/w video is not looking sharp so i need to do more test
