ezCCTV 0 Posted March 5, 2008 (edited) My boss has been working on a solution to help keep installs as tidy and organised as possible. Some people fear about the weight of coax cables pulling on the back of the GeoVision card. The flying leads can often get tangled, and it can take a while to find a camera input if not labeled correctly. We are going to be releasing the first of these devices at the end of the month. Please have a look at the spec sheet below that I have managed to get hold of, and let me know what you think. There are going to be several versions of the device, one including built in Ground Loop Isolation, and one with built in Surge Protection. I welcome any suggestions or input you guys can pass on, as who knows GeoVision better than the people installing it! We are thinking of shipping 2 x 1.5 metre DB15 cables to run from the GV DVR to the Distribution Box. Should this be sufficient for most installations? tyman00 0 Posted March 18, 2008 I currently don't have the need for these add ons but they may be needed. 1.) You are offering the D-Type (DB15) connectors, will you be offering the DVI type connector? 2.) For those with audio in, will you be offering RCA connections? Maybe put the RCA connector just below the BNC connector. Then put the DB15 connector for the audio just below the video DB15 connector. For my personal benefit, do you have the dimensions of this unit? I assume you built them to 1U specifications since they are for rack mounts, correct? Any preliminary cost numbers? I like it. ezCCTV 0 Posted March 19, 2008 The box is 1U in height. We are currently doing only the DB15 version. the DB15 card out sells the DVI massively over here in the UK. We will be adapting the unit to have 4 RCA connectors for the Audio on GV600 > GV800 cards We will create an Audio version as well for the 16 channel input of Combo cards.
