Percentage of cameras sold

Recommended Posts

Anyone know what the percentage of cameras sold in a year are: Analog

IP HD

IP

HDCCTV ( The coax solution)

not writing an article or anything just wondering as I suspect that analog is still selling well.

We're still doing about 75-80% analog... one or two sites a year all-IP, several all-analog... the majority are hybrid, or are built analog but designed for future addition of IP.

We've seen no interest in HDcctv...

I would say 95% HD/MP for me. Installed one analog DVR based system, one encoder based system and swapped out a time laps VCR for a DVR in the last 2 years.

I am working on a large 176 camera project right now that we are replacing all the DVRs with encoders and adding HD/Megapixel cameras. As the old analog cameras die we will be replacing them with HD/Megapixel where needed.

hope you get the job. keep the good work up.

we are no less than hybrids. lot of hotel work and night club work which is ideal for the mix of both sanyo/ vortex/axis/mobotix and the odd avigilon. just waiting for a Scallop ip to arrive which thewireguys posted a while ago. i can see alot of work for that in the hotel industry.

We've seen a huge swing in the last year. Now it's about 25% analog, 75% HD IP. A year ago it was the other way around. I think the consumer market is starting to figure out the advantages of the upper echelon camera systems.
