Best cable labeler?

Recommended Posts

I prefer to use low cost ($60) disposable Brother desktop labeller with automatic cutter.

http://www.brother-usa.com/Labeling_Solutions/ModelDetail/7/PT2730/Overview#.Uy2uwHlOWUk

Does not have all the fancy features...

The automatic cutter will get gummed up eventually.

Cutters not replaceable on some units or costs an arm/leg.

Tape is low cost and available everywhere (Staples, Walmart, Costco) in a jam.

TZE231 is only $12 per roll 1/2"x26'

=$0.46 per foot

ptouch brother with the data com functions. We use the industrial grade tape as it stays on longer.

When we do a lot of cables we use preprinted sheets with wrap around labels.

Panduit has a product with software. The advantage is if you use two sets you can label at the end and at the box so you don't get the numbers messed up. also you are not paying guys in the field to make up labels.

Amp also has sheets of labels that you can write on or preprint.
