Yes, in my opinion, starlights are worth it. You can find some comparison videos with a google search. There are some higher megapixel Dahua starlight cameras that have come out too.

Somewhere i read that the higher resolution you get the more light sensitivy has is that right. So if i get a 4mp camera non starlight i will be dissappointed about night vision? If you have to install one of those which you will use? 4mp ir or 2 mp starlight? If you have to cover 30-40 meters is better to get a fixed lens about 3.6mm ot get a motorized?

Thank you

There are more megapixel starlight/lowlight cameras coming out every day it seems. Starlight cameras can and do have IR too.

Some people like to light up the area all night long with white light and leave their cameras on forced 24 color mode. Others like motion lights, it  depends on what YOU want.

Motorized or varifocal are great for adjusting your field of view, but cost more. Some people will get one varifocal camera, then move it around the yard to determine the best fixed lens option for different areas, then order the cheaper fixed lens cameras.

Starlight cameras will give you images at night time in colour providing you have enough ambient lighting. In terms of how good an image the non starlight camera will give you is dependent on what the infrared from the camera can bounce off of and how long the IR on the camera is rated for. To be honest 30-40 meters is far too far for a 3.6mm lens. You will need a varifocal and to zoom it in.
