Casino Photos are these D1?

Recommended Posts

There is a photo of a "co conspirator" leaving a casino lobby who is involved with the O.J. Simpson fiasco. The photo is being shown on the news. The carpet is a very "busy" design in the background of the photo.

Is this a D1 recorded video shot?

I am 100% VGA or more but not one in a casino, yet. Without seeing the video you are talking about there is no way to know.

Here is a url that shows D1 recording...

Using GE SymDec DVR

Make sure to "Skip the Intro"...

Not as expensive as most "high end" DVRs, but definite performer in my book.. Video quality is as close to DVD video quality as possible and yet, very easy to use... It is EMBEDDED, simple to program and user friendly.

ditto.

It annoys me that there are very few demo camera images available from camera manufacturers.

Also, that there is rarely a DVR specification that tells you how compressed the final image is.

I adore the Arecont site. They are proud to show their final results.

I am not going defend what GE chooses to show on their website... However, I will tell you from the results in the actual installs were extremely good... Actually it provided us the best picture quality that we have seen in the longest time... Of course, we are comparing their video with other major manufacturers video...

Chances are good that other manufacturers could match or beat this, but for majors to have something to complete with is what GE has done so far..

I have been looking for a link, and I cannot find it. I posted the thread as the photo was being shown on the news. I was depending on the responder of the thread to have seen the news footage.

This is the one, and only link that I have been able to find, but I do not know if it has been "tampered" with or resized for the web article. I saved the photo to my computer, and brought it back up, but it does not look the same as when it aired on t.v. It now appears more pixelated in this photo.

It is the picture of the two guys. One man is carrying a cardboard box.

I was just asking out of curiosity if someone recognized their own equipment.

Las Vegas police released images captured by video surveillance at the Palace Station on Thursday night. Police believe the two unidentified men accompanied O.J. Simpson during an armed robbery of two sports memorabilia dealers and are carrying items out of the hotel after the robbery. Anyone with information about their identities is asked to call the robbery section at 828-3591.

That was VGA or more at one time but it has been modified.

Basically I think they cropped out the guy in black on the left (248 pixels) and the customers at the top (80 pixels). Plus they kinda squared it up.

No just deductive reasoning, that pic is larger then CIF as it is.

Now it very well could have been CIF, then cropped, then resized which would account for the quality loss.

looks like it was a video tape .. and someone took a photo of it, cut a piece of the picture out and blew it up ..
