    What IP camera system?

Hi. This is not the case ….. using onvif with some cameras can restrict some of the functions ….. and will not add functions Yes that is possible with most systems now but like in other post ….. for a 4 camera system I would not use a network to connect cameras to nvr ….. much better home run …. Cable from nvr to camera …. Keeps it all independent

    Convert a DVR?

Hi I don’t think you have 3 connectors I think your counting coax and two for power which technically is only two connectors your first post shows a dvr …. So it uses BNC connector mid you look at the back of your unit you should see 4 coax cables ? also your system should have a power supply to power the cameras somewhere at your recorder location

    Convert a DVR?

Hi. Your link is a bullet camera this means camera position can be moved easily by anyone. And also a bit expensive this is a much better camera and works with the dvr link I sent you …… camera has more functions than your link and you can get two for the same price as the one in your link https://www.amazon.com/R-Tech-Vision-Analog-Outdoor-Camera/dp/B08FNYY2LP/ref=mp_s_a_1_26?crid=34MISR2BWANBT&keywords=5mp+security+camera+coax&qid=1649241198&sprefix=5mp+security+camera+coax%2Caps%2C212&sr=8-26 There is only two ways a camera needs 3 connectors first …… your existing cameras also have audio second……. Which is probably what your handyman is seeing is a connector BNC and another connector for positive + side of power and another connector for negative - side of power making it 3 connectors can you post pictures on back of dvr

    What IP camera system?

Hi actually no that will work for tv Ok most would keep cctv off there home network but if your going Poe switch .. make it a managed switch so what are you looking for in your cctv audio Ai colour night

    What IP camera system?

Hi not a bad budget … with using a IP system your best using Poe nvr which also saves you money on Poe switch also while running cat cable around your home people forget to run at least 2 from nvr location to main tv ….. not really needed but flick of a tv remote button brings up your cameras how big is your home and we’re are you based

    Convert a DVR?

Hi. With a dvr nothing in the wiring has changed since 1951 (since bnc) but also with a dvr it can run on all cable types most used is coax and cat5 and you can check which cable type you have by looking at the back of your unit also check your pm for a recorder

    Convert a DVR?

Hi you are right not to buy at those stupid prices …… as far as her saying old then she lies …… only difference is one is 5mp and the other is 4K ….. software is exactly the same they don’t make that system they only rebadge it is infact a TVT system so ignore that company just trying to rip you off is it just 4 camera system you need ? and are you capable putting in a hard drive (4 screws 2 wires) 5 min job

    Convert a DVR?

Hi if your buying from the link … I would ask them to install the hard drive 1tb will give you just under 25 day’s recording type of camera …. The good thing about that dvr is it takes any camera format upto 5mp so any camera will do
  12. Hi. Your nvr has a lot of limitations and it sounds like your asking it to do more than it can 4k h265 on a 6mp h264 nvr but unfortunately running 13 cameras also means you need to down grade the resolution first go into new camera direct (not on nvr) alter resolution down to 2 or 4 mp and also change its compression from h265 to h264 and then try and connect the camera this is the problem with hikvision it does not have a long life span

    Convert a DVR?

Hi I have sent you a pm these are one of the best units on market and best full function app

    Balun to POE

Hi no it’s not possible…. Two types of technology also there is no point changing dvr and cameras to run a nvr new DVRs now match resolution of a IP system so I would recommend you just buy a new dvr and look for a 5 in1 dvr with resolution of 5mp ….. use your existing cameras and update when needed

    Convert a DVR?

Hi. I never suggested any brand ? and I can say I would never recommend Anlapus cctv equipment…. For a start it’s band in most countries…. It’s apps are also banned in some countries because of the information it collects you will pay a lot for SD cameras it only had a short life in the cctv industry and not used anymore so your best changing your recorder for something that does all formats cvi tvi ahd And cvbs …… 4 in 1 recorders and also look out for 5mp in the 4in1 which then allows you to use 2mp upto 5mp cameras
  17. hi. The ban makes no sense as it did not protect the home or none government commercial installs they just did not want government sector being watched by China ….. but it seemed ok for the Public to still buy and install in homes and businesses and still be monitored by China big investigation going on in the uk on footage given to world press from China of a camera in uk government building so it’s still going on with hikvision yet does not protect the public in there homes or businesses hikvison is over priced mass produced only because the diy er thinks it the best on the market ….. till they try another brand dahua is a slightly different situation… still owned by China government and did have same hik problems in 2014 ….. problem with there ban is how the equipment is made and who by………. Lorex is a trading name for dahua (2014) and now 100% owned by dahua (2018) but no ban but yes can still buy and use it…… but think long term are your properties homes or businesses and how many cameras at each

    Hi, everybody. I´m back.

Hi did your customer let you know of any power cuts or power problems even lightning? Why looking for 5v ….. hd 12v have you looked at the power supply first
  19. WOW You just don’t want any help do you There is a very good reason asking what part of uk. as there is nothing better than seeing equipment working …… which is something you don’t get to do with amazon or eBay and helps not wasting money.
  20. Hi you could run a fisheye outdoor camera which will make a solar power unit last longer but a budget is needed otherwise I would have to send you a list of all uk supplies who sell this type of equipment What part of uk are you from
  21. Hi yes it does but not 8 ptz cameras it’s free but limited did you try the software I sent

    Hi3520 / DRQCV200 Firmware

???? Your showing a chip set firmware won’t help
  23. Hi. You can buy a standard cctv camera CVBS and connect direct
  24. Why would you think seperate rings can’t communicate? So long as all rings or spurs are on the same mains power there is no problem at all ok I’ll try and explain ptz with solar and network in the uk your not going to get enough solar power to run a ptz and charge up a leisure battery unless you think big your going to be better with fixed cameras as ptz will drain battery very quick …. As it’s always getting moved … and also run the network side at the same time can you not get just one cat5 to outside of building ?
  25. Ok with not knowing if you have power outside or knowing your budget you might be best just installing the reolink solar ptz with SDI card it’s around £150 each camera
