Cashville 0 Posted September 12, 2009 Hello. I have a Geovision GV-1480 DVR Card GV1480-16, and I'm having some static/noise problems. rory 0 Posted September 12, 2009 i edited post with links for you. What monitor is that on, and how is the system setup? Any extended cables for the camera connections, or any VGA extenders, etc? I don't understand very much, I have a computer technician who took the DVR Card to his shop, and put it in another computer, and conected a webcam, and the same noise was there, but it was fewer, but it was still a problem. I forgot to say that the noise/static is sometimes bigger than on other days, don't know if that helps... The system was doing great for some time, but one time it started showing that noise, and the technician put a new motherboard in the computer, and it fixed the problem for about 6months, but this time the same thing is happening, and he tested the dvr card in another computer, but it didn't fix the problem... kensplace 0 Posted September 16, 2009 Im guessing its interference of some kind, are their any mains cables very close to the DVR octopus cables at the back of the card? Regards You cant connect webcams directly to the card... The card is for PAL/NTSC cameras or other compatible sources. Webcams do not output either. I would ask the technician for a screenshot of the problem with the DVR card installed in his computer, with the camera connected to ensure he has even bothered to do anything at all. ColdRain 0 Posted October 8, 2009 ok i now one have only camera connected with dvr card, and its right next to pc so i can see there are no interferences. uninstalled geovision software with removegeo, restarted pc, install it again. made sure its properly in but still no luck. I took some photos of the card, as requested, and I also took a pic of the noise. Cashville 0 Posted November 8, 2009 SOME of that noise looks like it's because your taking a picture with a digital camera of a computer screen... I took it with my cellphone, because I didn't want to go through the trouble of taking a printscreen, and putting in a pen, etc. The noise is all real, it has nothing to do with the picture taken. The noise right now is a little better, but still there is noise, and when something happens, and I need to get one of the cams in full view, the static is really noticeable, and doesn't let me see things clearly. To JOINDVR: Thanks for your reply, I see you had some problems also, but that doesn't seem to have anything to do with the static I'm getting, mine is different from the one in your screenshots.
