Hi I just got a Hikvision camera DS-2CD2387G2-LSU/SL and I have connected using a TP-Link injector and when I look at my ASUS router it shows the port the injector is connected to as 'connection can be improved in orange' if I connect the camera to a switch I don't get this message and the port shows in green Just wondering if the injector is faulty after having it for so many years Also I would like to know if is there any difference between the using the injector or using the switch? I found the answer myself, the PoE injector I have is not Gigabite capable, it's only 100 mb and My ASUS router LAN port is 1gb I probably need to get a Gigabite Poe Injector although no single IP camera will use more than the 100Mbps capability of this injector Correct me if I'm wrong Thank you

You have purchased the wrong injectors...those are specific to ubiquiti...they are not true poe standard 802.3af compliant..they will not work with your cameras at all..return them asap.. If you want injectors get these injectors (select injector not splitter or kit) http://www.amazon.com/TP-LINK-TL-PoE150S-Gigabit-Injector-compliant/dp/B001PS9E5I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1416977530&sr=8-1&keywords=poe+injector or you could just buy a poe switch, this one will power 4 cameras (the other 4 ports are not poe, just standard ports) http://www.amazon.com/TP-LINK-TL-SF1008P-100Mbps-8-Port-802-3af/dp/B003CFATT2/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1416977620&sr=1-1&keywords=poe+switch&pebp=1416977653577
