Certification Required to Install Video Cameras?

So no one is willing to help..........

Thought that was what these forms were for.

This pdf was on the page of the link given in the first reply:

http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/psb/forms/forms/CompleteCompanyLicenseApplicationsInstructions.pdf

It is the complete company license application. This looks like the step by step instruction you asked for. All the forms are there and it tells you all the fees and requirements to get your license.

So welcome to the business world. Obtaining your license is just the tip of the iceburg when it comes to the confusing bureaucratic gauntlet. But don't feel bad. I sub out about 90 percent of my bookkeeping. if you need help filling out the forms you should check into hiring an administrative assistant for a day or two through a temp agency.

What if you are a business (in FL) and want to install just a video surveillance system yourself on your own property for anti-theft purposes? Would you need a license then?

Nope, just as long as YOU own it and its all done by YOU then I am pretty sure you cant get in trouble, but then again hell it is always good to make sure before you have to pay for it later, Just call up DBPR, I am sure they can help. 850.487.1395
