MSI motherboard G31M3. This motherboard disables the video once you install a GV-1480 card. I tried the follwoing workarounds with no success.

1) added a PCIx video card and set the default video in the bios to PCIe

2) selected the onboard video as the default video

3) updated the bios to the most current version

no matter what I tried, everytime I put the GV-1480 in, the MSI saw it as a display card not a video capture.

So, I got an intel D31PR mobo. I didnt even have to re-install windows as they both have the same chipset. Worked like a charm

Hi Synder .. I think I may be using the same mobo as you .. just that my is a G31M3-FS .. not too sure what the "FS" meant .. working really fine .. which version of the software are you using?

Have u updated the drivers/bios using MSI's Live Update?

Intel Atom D510MO

Geo GV800 - 8.3

2TB HDD For Video

30GB SSD for OS

Windows 7 32

M4-ATX Power supply (for Mobile)

Mini-ITX Case

single 120mm fan

Locking removable tray for the 2TB HDD

All Quality settings on high, 640x480 x 8 cams

Total System Power consumption, 22W all channels recording

I have built several of these systems, they are perfect! Can't even hear them operating, no noticeable heat from any components, extremely power efficient. With the 2TB HDD I am getting 30 days of recording, 20 hours per day.

The systems operate on a 5 amp fuse, the car stereo draws more current.

8.33 runs very fast on Windows 7, even with the little atom processor!
