  3. Hi, I have a Hikvision 7608 NVR and I would like to record remote cameras over the internet. I tried first to connect one camera but thje NVR does not connect. I am using an Asus RT-N18 as router and I forwarded port 8000 from the camera IP to port 8000 form internet. The site https://canyouseeme.org/ reports that the destination IP port is open in the internet. Also telnet to port 8000 is connecting on the destination IP address. The configuration on the NVR is to connect to the destination IP on port 8000 with admin user and password and Hikvision protocol it does not connect. Camera model is Wireless Cube IP Hikvision DS-2CD2423G0-I(W) I tried to forward ports one by one in order to connect to the camera but without sucess. Another question in the same context is what ports should I forward in order to access the NVR from internet. Any help is appreciated, I am looking forward for your feedback. Best regards, Daniel
  4. I have a hikvision 8 channel full HD DVR. I am using the Hik-Connect app for live view on my smartphone. Whenever I try to watch the live view on my phone, it works for about 5 seconds and then the DVR crashes and restarts on its own. The DVR is connected to a TP-Link router. What should I do now?
  5. Hi there This is my first post on this forum, so please be gentle. One of my employees. who was in charge of setting up one of my premises' CCTV system has put a password on the DVR meant for that site, and now he cannot remember the password. I've tried entering passwords like 111111 and 666666 to unlock the DVR, but a error code 81f5fc is returned when the login fails. The DVR is an unbranded unit, from what I can tell, and only has the inscription 'CJC-8308' on the front, and the phrase 'H.264 DIGITAL VIDEO RECORDER'. I have the serial number of the device: S/N : 354201408270168 The date on the DVR is the 01/01/2000 A picture of the DVR is attached to this post I've prowled the forums trying to find a solution, but I can't find anything that works like it's supposed to. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Qvis Password Reset

First post here. I'm having a bit of bother with a Qvis system I have. Our installer has disappeared leaving me with the system he installed to manage myself. My most immediate issue is that I am locked out! I know there are ways to reset the password from the recovery option and I was wondering if anyone here had the facility to generate the required code? My system is a Qvis Viper and I can provide the date-time information if required.
  8. Hello everyone, just thought I would put up a quick post for all of you out there struggling with your Sentient DVR configuration and setup like I was before until now. Maplin seems to have completely abandoned support for the Sentient DVR and it's extremely difficult to find any information on the internet about it. Even the iOS app is no longer available in the app store. However, all hope is not lost. It turns out that Sentient DVRs are actually just rebranded DAHUA DVRs and there is a wealth of support available for Dahua DVRs on the net. Dahua systems even have there own Wiki https://dahuawiki.com/ where you will find all the answers to all your issues. To setup remote access to your Sentient/Dahua DVR using iOS like myself simply use the Dahua app (iDMSS Lite) https://apps.apple.com/us/app/idmss-lite/id517936193 You can then setup access by simply scanning the P2P QR code on your DVR network settings. I hope this helps those who have been struggling like myself!

ISO Help finding Firmware for Hikvision NVR

Hi, I am new to this forum and am hoping someone could help me. Last year I purchased the HikVision DS-7216HWI-SL NVR/DVR Hybrid (16-ch) and a few Indoor/Outdoor Camera's on eBay and only finished wiring the camera's and setting up the NVR about a month ago. I have been busy but it didn't take me long doing a little research to find that a firmware update had been released. I've spent the last week or so (on & off) trying to find the latest firmware for my model (DS-7216HWI-SL) and so far, I've had little luck. If I'm not mistaken, what I have is a European version, which works fine here in the US and all but the US website (hikvision.com) has no support for my model. In fact, when I search their for my model number, it finds nothing. The same is true of on their European variant website (hikvisioneurope.com - I think). I was hoping someone reading this might have the same model and/or know where or how I could go about finding this. For those of you asking yourselves "Why is it so important, I'm sure the current Firmware this guy is using works perfectly fine so why he bothering us?". I have plans for modify the portal logo and some of the default system settings, but this cannot be done until I am able to find a copy, even of the same version Firmware I have now. I would, however love to be able to update to the latest version since the UI is noticeably nicer and more intuitive. I hope there is someone out there able to help me. Thanks in Advance, ~Nemo - nemo121886@gmail.com
  14. Hello Guys/Gals I need some troubleshooting help with my parents DVR occasionally skipping minutes in saved recordings. The DVR in question sadly is not a very high quality one, being a cheap Xiongmai DVR that came with a combo package of 4 cameras. I have tried: Reboot/restart/reset Lowering the quality to D1 (Helped responsivity but still skips and fails to record) Watching from TV/Using the included app/software Checked all connections The cameras themselves appear to work fine, since in the TV preview they work completely smoothly. Oh, and the DVR model number is A1004NS-C, Its an analog DVR with 4 BNC connectors to the cameras. We live in a PAL region if that happens to make any difference in signals. (Considering the DVR fails to work if i switch the mode to NTSC) I really appreciate all responses, since this has caused a bit of a headache especially to my father
  15. Hello All, I could use some advice before I take this project on if it’s even possible. My client has a HikVision (model ds-7216HGHI-SH) DVR. They need two coax cameras fixed that are about 4000+ feet from the country club house for a golf course. They initially had a direct fiber run from the club house but the fiber broke somewhere underground. I wouldn't be able to fix that because it was a direct bury and the layout of the course now. They have a little tennis house around 2000 feet away from where the cameras are located. In that tennis house is a switch and fiber optic cable (see pic) that was trenched from the country club network to tennis house. What I wanted to know is this even possible? My installment thought processes is: 1. Convert the two coax cameras to fiber optic cable OR 1a. Convert the two coax to IP then to fiber. Not sure if you could even convert coax to fiber. Category to fiber yes. 2. Run fiber to the tennis building 3. Convert fiber to Ethernet Cat 6 4. Install Cat 6 into an open port on the switch that runs back to the country club network. 5. Come out of switch in country club network and convert it to coax and into the HikVision DVR The known… Might need to put power on the pool where the cameras are and a waterproof box to store the conversion stuff. I can’t fix the old fiber because they don’t want to. I can’t use repeater to boost signal as wire will be buried Concerns I have… It sounds like it could work but have doubts. Can I take Analog to digital and back and have it work. Can anyone with experience with something like this provide advice. Do you think this would work? Thanks for your suggestions and help, Frank G.
  16. Hi I have installed cameras in two of my houses over the last few weeks , I have been using the mobile Hik-Connect app to remotely view and has been working great . I installed a new ampr camera and need to login via a laptop to configure settings but cannot for the life of me find how to login successfully . On my mobile app I logged in from day one via a mobile number and password don’t thibk I ever gave a email . After some research and YouTube videos I see I need to search my IP address in search bar and takes me to hikvision login page , but that’s as far that I can get ! When I try to use the details on the laptop that I have been using to login with the mobile app it’s saying wrong username and keeps locking me out . I have tried using default me such as admin , 12345 for logins but none are working ! Also via the mobile app if I select account settings it’s giving me a user name , which is a few letters and numbers mixed together computer made but even this user does not seem to be working I even tried creating a new hikvision account via there website but when I try to add my device via serial number it’s saying “operation failed , the device is added by other users “. I also clicked the forgot password on login page but is saying no answers is set for security questions and guid file verification seems not to be set either Does anyone have any ideas how I can get around this problem , I just need to login on a laptop once to adjust my ampr camera and then continue using the mobile app 99% of the time . I used Swann system before and that took literally 5minutes to set up on laptop and mobile so I think I must be stuck in a glitch and can’t get past it without some inside knowledge Hope someone can see this as a easy fix thanks guys in advanced

  18. >>So I just got a new security system installed today. The DVR belongs to the Securico brand and has 8- Channels. The issue is that even though I was promised that I will be able to connect my DVR to my router wirelessly the with the help of a wifi dongle, the surveillance guy (who installed the security system) backed out saying a wired connection will be needed which is not possible in my case. >>TL;DR :So can I get a wifi dongle and install it in my DVR to connect it to my internet? If so then how will I know which dongle is compatible and which is not?
  19. Hi, I work at a restaurant where we use a Hikvision DS-7332HGHI-SH Turbo HD 1.0 with about 28 analog cameras. We have a couple cheap Jidetech P1 1080p PTZ IP cameras which we just started adding as we are interested in the whole video/power/PTZ over one cable convenience, and want to expand beyond the initial 32 analog channels (supports 40 channels total). However, one thing that seems inconvenient is viewing the IP cameras doesn't appear to be possible through the DVR using the IVMS-4500 software like the analog channels (?) The first IP camera we set up worked fine and shows up in our live view 6x6 grid as camera 33 just like the analog cameras, but in the IVMS software it's nowhere to be found - the list of cameras stops at 32. Is this normal behavior? Is there any way to make the DVR display the IP cameras through the IVMS software just like the analog cameras? We have a handful of people who use the app quite a bit and it's going to be a hassle to have to switch to and from different devices in the app rather than just have all the cameras on the DVR in one place. If anyone knows how to make the IP cameras behave like the analog cameras in IVMS I would love to hear it. Thanks!
